Extreme technology enhancement, A.I. machines now rules in this chaotic future. Machines made by the hands of man now takes his power against him... On this same age there is a band writing lyrics of these agony days... these lyrics they turn into killing songs in furious rhythms. Fear Factory came to warn us where mankind is leading itself to. Listen to them!!!!
Fear Factory blends the electronics of industrial music and death metal. There is not a word to describe their style since they proved to be very alternative in their two first EPs with much more experimental sounds than the other albums. On REMANUFACTURE there are remixes for tracks released on DEMANUFACTURE and perharps the most radical metal fans will not like it... better take a listen before finaly buying it. One point FF's distinguished from other metal bands are Burt vocals. He sings brutally gruff (sometimes reminding of Max Cavalera's voice), but also with clean beautiful vocals. Coming from a death singer that's an astonishing innovation. Also, you don't have to make an incredible effort to hear the bass ¾ their so well played bass!! The scientific view of the band is great and OBSOLETE comes with a sci-fi story, which makes this album very special. On REMANUFACTURE it is hard to choose the best songs... all are excellent (but I think "Replica" is the kicking ass one). And if you wanna deafen and go mad once and for all SOUL OF A NEW MACHINE is the solution. END PROGRAM |
"2076 A.D. Everything that you believe to be true is a
contradiction. Imagine a world that is suffering a slow
decay, and a culture on the edge of extinction. A world
in chaos brought to obedient order by the machines that
man created...." prelude for the story of
