FRIENDS


we started out as friends
and that's the way it was supposed to remain
but our feelings and emotions took over
and ended the friendship game
although we're still friends
but not quite like before
it's a new feeling i have for you
a feeling that makes me want you more and more
i really want to talk to you
but i don't know where to start
i guess the only place to beign
is to tell you what's in my heart
i know we have a new kind of friendship
that is almost bound to escalate
but all i can do now is wonder about our fate

you see just the thought of your name
and the image of your face
makes me glow on the outside, and the inside my heart race
your smile brightens my day
your laughter warms my heart
constantly bringing happiness and joy my way
hoping endlessly we won't ever have to part
at first i thought this was just a minor crush
but now the truth is out
it's ashame i have to keep this a hush
and that's the truth no doubt
despite the way we feel
we both know the situation
but what i have in my heart
is it love or infatuation?
and no mattter the outcome in the end
whether we get together or whether we part
i pray and hope you will always be my friend
like you were from the very start
