Juliet

Thank you all so much for these special honors, and for giving my stories this very kind recognition. Just when I think the DC fan-ficdom (?) couldn't be any more generous in its praise and support, you go and surprise me all over again! (Even when I make up words, which I apparently I feel free to do. Hee)

At this point, I'm honestly not even sure what motivates me to continue writing P/J stories, but ideas still come to me and nag at my subconscious if I don't get them out of my head, so I guess I'll just keep on writing until they stop pestering me.

One thing that's been really fun over this past year was to collaborate and interact more with other writers I admire. When I first came into this after some not-so-gentle urging by a good friend, I felt so out of my league after being only a lurking reader for so many years. But I will always remember how kind and friendly and encouraging other writers were, especially the ones whose stories I had enjoyed for so long (and I hope you know who you are, Kristi, Rinny, Kimmy, etc...the list goes on). I remember it was so exciting for me to see that these great fic authors were actually reading my stories (and it still is)!

I find a lot of inspiration in the words of so many writers here, and from the new and different directions they take with these established characters and canon. I feel that many of their words truly belong in a book on my library shelf, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to some day find them right there. (After looking a while under "C" for Caspian, "P" for potsiegirl, "A" for Abagail, etc, and then remembering they have actual real life names. Hee). It was a huge thrill and an honor for me to even be nominated along with all these lovely and talented people.

Thank you again to everyone for all the support and encouragement I have received. Some of you replied to the very first chapter of the very first P/J fic I wrote back at Capeside Diaries, and you don't know how much it makes me smile to *still* see your names in my feedback or receive your e-mails. It really is a wonderful feeling to put so much of yourself into writing a story, and then feel like you get back even more from those reading it. And it's still a lot of fun for me to write ~ most especially to write about Pacey ~ so thanks for continuing to read.

Last, but most certainly not least, I have to give a special thanks to Kaitlyn.

Congratulations to all the other nominees and winners, and thanks for continuing to entertain and inspire me with your stories! :)

Love,
Juliet
