Trueman AD, Katie Powles.
I cannot believe how lucky we are to have Katie back as our assistant don for this last year! (Please don't kill me Jess, you did a great job!) Katie is a wonderfully sweet young lady who is everything you would want in an AD, and then some! She's super smart, fabulously funny, sometimes stern, but always approachable... I'm gonna catch it from somewhere for that, I just know it. Anyway! Katie, being the AD, takes on some of the delegated responsibilities from Mark and Cindy. On the other hand, she also has many of the same duties as the monitors. This lovely lady, of course, will be living on first east this year, in room 117 (the AD's room). If you ever need something, whether it be that you got locked out of your room while taking a 4 AM shower, or to clarify a house rule, or even just to have someone to talk to, Katie is the person to see! This guy is, simply put, amazing. He's one of the finest guitar players I've ever heard in my entire life! He's cool, laid back, chill, and anything else you can think of along those lines. You might not be able to tell from this particular pic, but he's also jacked! This is a rare shot for Joe, as he is without his trademark beard. I think he might've left it home that night. Nobody, but nobody, has a better beard than Joe. Joe will be living on second floor this year, in room 232, which is kinda smack in the middle of the floor. Joseph Writes: Just a little more info if you're interested. I was born in North Vancouver and grew up (physically anyway) in Kelowna B.C. I'm a second year Arts student, possibly majoring in Philosophy, with a minor or two in English and/or Religious Studies. I love to read all kinds of things, and write from time to time. I also love art of all kinds, and sometimes draw a little. I am a huge music lover, and do in fact play the guitar and am always interested in playing with others (and hopefully learning a thing or two) should any of you happen to be budding or brilliant musicians. This fine young lady (like almost every other one in Trueman) is one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet. She's great to be around, and I do believe I saw her at every T-rock warm up last year. So much kudos for that. Sarah will be keeping it real on top east, in room 308. Sarah writes:Hiii, my name is Sarah, and im in the arts program (english), going into my second year here at mta. I'm from st. catharines ontario, which is right beside niagara falls. I'm a monitor next year up on top east. I'm really into music, and reading, I like partying with my friends and chilling in trueman. the people in this house are so fun and welcoming- I met awesome friends here. my favourite thing about the house is that we are like one big family... we eat together, party together, and support each other, and it just warms my little heart. we have an amazing exec this year, and a really chill house staff, combined with the greatest dons on campus... so if you are lucky enough to be hand picked for trueman house 05-06, you are going to have the time of your liiiife. if you have any questions, dont hesitate to contact any of us... we're here to help! see you all in september... Cait is, well... Cait! She is the only other person as knowledgable about incense in the whole house as I am. Cait follows the path to true enlightenment, and likes to meditate. Joey is a man who possesses many great things. I mean, just look at the guy! Isn't he someone you would like to hang out with? Joey can be kinda quiet at times, but don't be fooled, this guy knows what it means to be a Truemanite. He also has one great sense of humor.
