Judgment Day
There will be a Judgment.
It is sure thing. It is as certain as the nose on your face.
More certain, in fact.
Why do I believe in the
Judgment? Because the
bible tells me there will be one. Jesus spoke of it
frequently.
Hebrews 9: 27
And as it is appointed unto
men once to die, but after this the
judgment...
When
will the Judgment Day occur? It will happen on the day
that Jesus returns. He will separate people on that day.
Matthew 25: 32 ...and he shall
separate them...as his sheep from the
goats. Some will be judged
acceptable to inherit eternal life. Others will inherit the
second death. "...in the lake
which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the
second death."
Revelations 21: 8.
All of the nations will be
gathered.
Matthew 25: 31-46
When the Son of man shall
come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then
shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him
shall be gathered all nations: and he shall
separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth
his
sheep
from the
goats:
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the
goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on
his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit
the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation
of the world...
...Then say also unto them on
the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into
everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his
angels...
...And these shall go away into
everlasting punishment: but the righteous into
life eternal.
There will be allot of surprises on
that day. Believe it! Many religious people will be judged
unworthy. They will be surprised because they considered
Jesus their Lord, they even performed miracles in his name.
They considered themselves "christians" and yet Jesus will
say, "Go away! I never knew you."
Hard to believe?
Consider what Jesus
said...
Matthew 7: 21-23
Not every one
that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my
Father which is in heaven.
Many
will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out
devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew
you: depart from
me, ye that work
iniquity.
Wow!
They not only considered
Jesus their Lord, but they even performed miracles in his
name! They were christians. They were religious. Why then,
will they not inherit eternal life? Because they
did not
obey the Father's will.
Christians can
lose
their salvation! The once
saved, always saved philosophy is false doctrine.
What does the bible say? Consider that the following
statement was made to Christians:
Hebrews 10: 26-27
For
if
we sin willfully
AFTER that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins
(Jesus was the sacrifice for
sins), But a certain fearful
looking for of judgment and fiery indignation which shall
devour the adversaries.
Christians are told that if they
turn back to their sinful ways, they are
like dogs eating
vomit and
pigs
rolling in mud!

2 Peter 2: 21-22
For it had been better
for them not to have known the way of
righteousness, than,
after
they have known it,
to turn from the holy commandment delivered
unto them. But it is happened unto them according
to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his
own vomit again; and the sow that was washed
to her wallowing in the mire.

Why such strong
language? Because
if you sin
willfully, you
lose Jesus
- the sacrifice
for sins.
So, do not make the same
mistake and assume that because of God's grace, you can
continue in your sin. "Shall we
continue in sin that grace may abound?
God
forbid."
Romans 6:1-2. You must do the
Father's will, or you too will be judged unworthy. If you
want to know about sin, so that you can repent and be
assured of your fate on Judgment Day, please read my study
on Sex, Lies,
and Other Mistakes. What is
required of you?
Obedience!
Being religious is not enough. You can see that these people
in Matthew 7: 21 were believers. They had done many works in
the name of the Lord. Yet, they were not saved. They were
called evil doers. If you are an unprofitable servant, you
may suffer the same fate as Jesus describes
here...
Matthew 25: 30
And cast ye the
unprofitable servant into
outer
darkness: there shall be
weeping and gnashing of teeth.
If you consider yourself a
christian, and yet you are not 100% totally, completely
devoted, then your faith is lukewarm. If you are playing it
"safe" right now, staying "moderate" in a comfortable belief
system, then you are in danger. Jesus tells the church that
because they are lukewarm in their faith, he will
spit them out
of his mouth.
Revelations 3: 14-17
And unto the angel of the
church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the
Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the
creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art
neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art
lukewarm,
and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my
mouth.
I don't know about you, but on the
day of Judgment, I
want to be embraced, not spat
out.
Do you remember learning the
scientific principal that every action has an equal and
opposite reaction? Although we are saved by grace, and not
by our works, every action performed in our bodies will be
judged.
2 Corinthians 5: 10
For we must all appear
before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one
may receive the things done in his body, according
to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Ah, but you are feeling pretty
comfortable in this life. You have need of nothing. You have
nice things, a fancy home, and a car. To that Jesus says,
"Because thou sayest, I am
rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;
and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and
poor, and blind, and naked!"
Revelations 3: 17.
Come on! Don't you want to inherit
a new earth? Don't you want to live with God in splendor?
Don't think that your comfortable life and your comfortable
religion will save you. You may just
cheat
yourself out of
your
inheritance.
Revelations 21
... and God shall be with
them ...and wipe away all tears from their eyes... no
more death... neither sorrow, nor crying... neither shall
there be pain... I make all things new. He that
overcometh shall
inherit
all
things.... and I will be his God.
Otherwise...
It is a fearful thing to
fall into the hands of the living
God.
Hebrews 10: 31.
