Hi Corner, Welcome to the home page of the Texas State Camping Squares. From this site you may obtain information about Texas State Camping Squares campouts, its officers, and its history. There are six Association Camping Clubs that comprise the Texas State Camping Squares organization. The Texas State Camping Squares organization is an associate member of the Texas State Federation of Square and Round Dancers. On this site you will find information about the six TSCS Camping Clubs. We invite you to look around, link up and enjoy your visit. We enjoy visitors so feel free to visit and camp with any of the six TSCS Camping Clubs or any TSCS campout. History From a seed planted at Bandera in October 1968, the Texas State Camping Squares, were born. Callers Johnny Mathis, Ruben Klein, Blackie Hardy, and Grace Cope sponsored a square dance with 18 rigs present. In the beginning, campouts were held any place a building was found large enough for a dance, without concern for having complete hookups. Usually these places were near water to provide for fishing or swimming. Today, with many more members and rigs wanting complete hookups, accommodations are different. Still the same great friendships and fun stuff to do. Contact Information Below You will find the phone number and address of the Texas State Camping Squares President and the e-mail address of all elected officers. Electronic mail
