Lirin Car'n is, to the best of my knowledge, the only Bith seen in the Star Wars films without a musical instrument. Since all Bith look alike anyway, I simply modified the body of a Barquin D'an figure (sold with Droopy McCool as one of the Max Rebo band 2-packs), and left the head exactly as it was. The shoulders and arms were sanded down and reshaped significantly, to match the loose-fitting shirt Lirin Car'n wears in the cantina, and the knot of a black scarf was sculpted around the neck and upper chest area using Tamiya putty. I'm not really happy with the neckline, though.

The glass was made from the inner shaft of a ballpoint pen. The lower edge of the shaft was melted with a cigarette lighter and pressed into the shape you see here, and the plastic beam saber from a Gundam model kit was similarly melted and pressed into the center of the shaft, giving the impression of liquid in the glass. The glass was made in about five minutes.

The figure in a sitting position.
I painted the shirt the same tan color that General Madine's uniform was painted, and it seems to match the reference photos I had very closely. I left the legs black, having no color reference to work with there. Some sources report that this character was actually a back-up Kloo horn player for the cantina band, so I gave the figure Barquin's instrument as well (since Barquin D'an also happens to play a Kloo horn!).

I thought the figure should bend at the knees, since Lirin Car'n only appears in a sitting position in Star Wars (a consideration Hasbro has only recently begun to make with their figures). The legs of the Barquin D'an figure were cut just above and again just below the knees, and the knee joints from the legs of an Endor Luke figure were substituted. A little re-sanding around the edges gave a nice, baggy shape to the pant legs.

This figure has since been given away to another collector, as I intend to make a new one from scratch.
