John F Kimbrell, in Navarro Co., Dresden, Tx, b. Dresden Cem., Tx. He was the Son of N. L. & H. Kimbrell, Nelson L and Hannah (Davis)Kimbrell who were buried in Cass Co, Missouri. Hannah Davis was born in 1841 and married Nelson L Kimbrell May 8, 1864 (source Illinois Statewide Marriage Index 1763 - 1900). They moved here with James Pope Davis family and brother's family, John Barton Davis in 1878-1879. My cousin Clifford Davis of Lubbock confirms the Kimbrell's moved to Navarro Co with their brothers' families, James P Davis and John Barton Davis. They had arrived in time for Spring Planting in 1879. There was an epidemic that year. The families must have arrived by Feb 1879 for John F Kimbrell their baby to have died here. This grave stone is located within 20 to 30 feet of Christina Liming's grave stone with no others between the stones in Dresden Cem. Christina and two of her Children also perished in the epidemic that year. She was first wife of John Barton Davis. Nelson L and Hannah Kimbrell moved back to Missouri and were buried in Wills Cem, Cass Co, Missouri. They moved back to Missouri after their son John died. Elijah and Elizabeth Davis, Hannah's parents lived in Old Peculiar, Missouri then, and I also think Nelson Kimbrell's parents lived in the same area in Missouri.
