REAL NAME: Unknown
AGE: 61
OCCUPATION: Mad Scientist
ASSOCIATES/ACCOMPLICES/MINIONS:
Crazy Train, anyone who needs robots
AFFILIATIONS:
CURRENT STATUS: At large
APPEARANCE: Dr. Hades stands five foot three, he
has a bald head and wears thick contact lenses that make his eyes bulge
weirdly. He is often seen wearing a pair of coveralls, unless he
is in public; then he is seen wearing ratty clothes several years out of
date.
BACKGROUND: No one is really sure of Hades' background.
Some say he was a disheartened student from Cal Tech, others say he was
one of the original scientist who had worked with Styph technology and
something drove him mad. Whatever his true origin is, he is a brilliant
roboticist, limited only by money and the materials at hand. He first
came to light in '78 when he constructed a series of robots to rob a bank.
The robots were built using old car parts and were remot controlled.
Local heroes and police figured out Hades had used a local junk yard to
build the robots but by the time they found his lair he was already gone.
The heist launched him immediately into legendary status and villains were
clamoring for his services.
Over the years Hades has avoided
jail time, managing to escape before he could be fully prosessed through
the system. Oddly enough his fingerprints do not show up anywhere on any
system.
Dr. Hades cheated death in London
in '97, but he met his end at the inadvertant hands of Photon when the
hero accidentally blew up Hades' booby-trapped laptop. Or so it seemed.
Hades had downloaded his consciousness into a hard drive, and later Photon's
evil future self stole the Crazy Train mainframe from the former Vindicators
base and downloaded Hades' mind into it. The mainframe was then placed
in the latest Crazy Train body.
POWERS: Hades has a brilliant mind and the ability
to work fast and hard to meet a deadline. He is an expert in robotics,
computer science, and several other scientific disciplines.
The Crazy Train body has been constructed with the latest alloys and polymers, making very tough and very hard to damage or destroy. It is very strong, easily able to lift and throw cars for example. Hi powered hydraulic systems in its legs allow it to jump great distances and allow it to propel itself across the ground at high speed, giving him his nick-name. "Hades Train" also has a full sensor suite, so it is difficult to sneak up on him.
Hades Train has several hard weapon points, so it can now be mounted with a wide variety of munitions: machine guns, missile launchers, lasers, RPGs, etc.
NOTE: While it is player knowledge that
Dr. Hades took a fateful plunge from the Tower Bridge during the '97 Battle
of Britain, only two people know of this fact; The Morrigan, who killed
him, and The Cavalier who witnessed it. The Cavalier did note the
demise of the villain, claiming he had leapt to his death rather than surrender.
His body was never recovered.
