Six Texas Southern Football Players Earn All-Conference Honors

Houston, TX - - Six Texas Southern University football players were named to the 2000 All-SWAC team. Junior linebacker, Lernard Mack, was named SWAC Defensive Player of the Year. The Houston native led the SWAC in tackles with 119. His 31 tackles for loss lead Division I-AA. Joining Mack on the first-team were kicker J.B. Lacombe (Riverside, California) and defensive lineman Kreme Davis (Dallas, Texas). Defensive back, Santino Hall, was named SWAC Freshman of the Year. The Palm Beach Florida, product led the conference in interceptions with eight. Hall, was also tabbed to the All-SWAC second team. Joining Hall on the second team were offensive lineman Kris Allen (Lake Jackson, Texas) and defensive lineman Tommy Balom (Jacksonsville, Florida).
