TSU Baseball Takes Four from Prairie View Houston, Texas –Texas Southern won a four game series from Prairie View 6-2, 19-14, Sunday, April 1 at McGregor Park-Neagle Field. Marcus Winder was the winning pitcher in the first game for TSU, (18-17, 16-4 SWAC). David Bell was the top TSU hitter, going 2-4 with a home run and three RBI’s. Amad Hill finished 2-3. Game two saw an offensive explosion from both teams. The Tigers scored multiple runs in each inning, highlighted by a four run first and rive run third en route to the victory. Brandon Barrett was the winning pitcher. Gary Fruge led a balanced hitting attack with a 4-5 performance that included a home run and six RBI’s. Justin Tinker, Amad Hill and Kyle Vandenbury added home runs for TSU. Texas Southern will face Northwestern State 3 p.m., April 3 in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
