Houston, TX - -TSU competed in the Prairie View A&M Invitational, Saturday, October 7 in Houston, Texas. The women finished second in the meet, led by Cicely Pinkston, who won her division with a time of 20:14.26. Noeleene Harris finished third (20:41.78) in the meet. Other finishers for the Tigers were Ruth Milor (22:53.76), Brandie Edwards (24:24.20) and Capricia Majors (24:35.81). The Tiger men finished third in their division. Top finishers for the men were Shawn Bender (32:39.48) and Joshua Hughes (36:00.35) who finished fourth and tenth respectively. Kevin Overton (36:06.23), Derrick Wilson (38:00.96) and Michael Thomas (40:31.38) also competed. The cross-country team will return to action, October 14 at College Station to compete in the Texas A&M Invitational.
