Mack Wins Black College Defensive Player of the Year Pittsburgh, PA — Junior linebacker, Lernard Mack, was Defensive Player of the Year by the American Urban Radio Network (AURN). The Houston native led the SWAC in tackles with 119. His 31 tackles for loss led Division I-AA. Florida A&M wide receiver Jacquay Nunnally was named the SBN/Doug Williams Offensive Player of the Year and Tuskegee’s Rick Comegy was named SBN/Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year. The 2000 SBN Sports All-American Team will be honored at the BCAA 27th Anniversary Banquet on Saturday, March 3, 2001 at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead, Georgia. In its 26 years of existence, over a million dollars in scholarships have been donated to Black colleges and universities through the SBN Sports College All-American Awards Banquet.
