Texas Southern Men Fall to Louisiana Tech Boxscore | Game Story RUSTON, LA - Louisiana Tech used a 20-3 run early in the second half to pull away from Texas Southern in an 83-64 win at the Thomas Assembly Center Thursday night. Gerrod Henderson paced the Bulldogs (7-4), scoring 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field. With the effort, Henderson moved within 11 points of breaking the 1,000-point career scoring mark. Antonio Meeking and Marco Cole matched Henderson's play on the court, scoring 19 and 18 points respectively. Meeking shot 5-for-7 from the field while Cole hit 6-of-9 shots, including five three-pointers. Tech shot 52.9 percent from the field, including 71.4 percent from Tech's three big guns, Henderson, Meeking and Cole. The Tigers (0-9) stayed close in the first half, shooting 52.2 percent in the first-half, but the Bulldogs made some halftime adjustments and held TSU to only 34.5 percent in the second-half. Leading the charge for TSU were Rakim Hollis and Chris Miller with 18 points apiece. Miller added a game high 10 rebounds. Ricky Bennett added 16 points on 7-11 shooting. TSU returns to action 7 p.m., aturday, December 23 against the University of Houston in Hoffeinz Pavilion.
