TSU Basketball Embarks on Three Game Road Trip Houston, TX - -Texas Southern men’s basketball embarks on a three game road trip in seven days where the team will play SWAC opponents, Southern (December 16) and Alcorn State (December 18). The Tigers will also face non-conference opponent Louisiana Tech (December 21), before returning home in a non-conference showdown against the University of Houston 7 p.m., December 23 in Hofheinz Pavilion. “We look forward to playing good competition.” Moreland said. “This is what we have geared ourselves for and we will be ready. Hopefully we will be prepared to play some good basketball.” In injury news, senior guard Steve Hoyer is expected to miss the season with a stress fracture in his foot. The 6-2 Sugarland Kempner product was the team’s leading three-point shooter this season. Point guard Rakim Hollis is probable for the three-game trip with a groin injury. The sophomore from Tyler has started every game for TSU this season.
