TSU Softball Splits With Southern
Houston, Texas –Texas Southern softball split a doubleheader with Southern in SWAC action, 1-3, 11-3, Sunday, April 1 in Memorial Park. Davon Spates had her way in the second contest belting two home runs, going 3-3 with four RBI’s to lead TSU (15-18, 14-6 SWAC) to victory. Aisha Collins added two RBI’s. Jenny Chandler pitched the complete game victory with four strikeouts.
Game one featured a strong pitching performance from Southern allowing only two hits. Davon Spates scored the lone run for the Lady Tigers
The two teams will play again, 1 p.m., Friday, April 6 in a doubleheader at Memorial Park.
