TSU Women's Basketball Wins Season Opener, down Tougaloo 84-49
Houston, TX - - Texas Southern women’s basketball opened its season with an 84-49 win over Tougaloo College, Friday in the H&PE Arena. TaShandrea Smith led the Lady Tigers with 11 points and eight rebounds. Center Christy Staples added 10 points and four rebounds and Rolanda Wilson came off the bench to score 10 points and grab four rebounds. The TSU women return to action November 21 against Houston Baptist, 7 p.m. in the H&PE Arena.
