Texas Southern Announces Women's Basketball Hires Texas Southern University Athletics announces the hiring of Lacey Reynolds as Head Women's Basketball Coach and Teresia Hudson as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Widely recognized as one of the top recruiters in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and the NCAA, Reynolds has over 25 years of collegiate and high school coaching experience. A 1974 graduate of Mississippi Industrial College, Reynolds became the youngest head coach of a four-year college in the state of Mississippi at the age of 23. This is Reynolds second tour of duty at TSU, having served as an assistant coach on the men's basketball team. During his tenure from 1983 to 1995, the Tigers won four regular season titles and had three NCAA Tournament Appearances. Hudson last served as head boys and girls basketball coach at Pineview High School in Lisbon, Louisana. Hudson made history by becoming the first female coach to win a state championship with a boy's team. She is a 1988 graduate of Texas Christian University
