Rodney Evans, followed the game since TSU's first team took the field against Southern University in 1947. Evans received numerous professional honors and awards, which include: Photographer of the Year (1971 and 1973), Meritorious Service Award - TSU Athletics (1968), and Meritorious Service Award - TSU Relays (1977).
Mr. Evans photographic works have been featured in local newspapers, books and journals. He has received numerous professional honors and awards and his photographs were selected as part of the permanent collection at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts.
