a slow steady sound
like a rhythm timing to my life
depending on your peacefull presence
from the shallow depths
of mindless idiotic voices
that shout at me to never
let you go -'Hold on tight'-
'you'll drown if you let go of him'
feeling incomplete when i'm not
with you, needing that assurance
i can see my future with you...
as clearly as my reflection in this
cracked mirror that i call my life
mending the broken pieces with
duct tape and old chewed gum
doesn't seem to work anymore
a permanent fix is what i need
