The buildings were located at different country towns throughout South Australia and were disassembled and rebuilt as originally found.
The buildings are all furnished in original shop counters, shelving, lamp lighting, cast iron stoves, church pews, theatre seating, hospital equipment, printing presses, signs, tables & chairs, fixturers & fittings.
