David Averill (cast, author, Trust)  David is known in Gridiron circles as "Mr. March," the guy who puts it all together, gives it 110 percent, leaves everything on the playing field at Gridiron time in the best show-might-as-well-go-on tradition. Unfortunately the Gridiron is in February this year, so don't be surprised if Mr. March's performances are somewhere south of the radar. After all, he puts his pants on one leg at a time just like everybody else.
Bill Babb (cast) Proving once again the old saw that "he's not getting better - he's getting older", Bill Babb will once again (say) grace (on) the stage of the Tulsa Press Club Gridiron. Playing men (generally) much younger than himself is easy for this Gridiron veteran. "I just have a couple of belts and play whatever role they give me!" says the trouper. When not embarrassing himself in this production, Babb can be found smiling through thick and thin at the QuikTrip at 11th & College where he claims he met and taught the power of positive thinking to TU Head Football Coach Keith Burns. Babb asserts he suggested the OSU comparison to Burns because "I thought it'd make a good Gridiron skit!"
Jeff Buckley (cast, author) Jeff returns to the Gridiron without the baggage of playing Bill Clinton. One of his last acts as Clinton was to pardon the rest of the cast for numerous crimes (most regarding off key singing and overacting.) Jeff is a talented voiceover artist and is ready to work for you (in other words, he needs a job.) Please feel free to call him at 809-0992. Please note that his pardon power has expired. No matter what he says, he can no longer "get you off."
Tom M. Campbell, Ed.D. (author, Trust) is immediate past chairman of the GridironTrust. This year's show marks his 28th as an author. For five years he waschief author. Although Tom is an allegedly respected citizen, he has written more Gridiron skits revolving around pornography, hookers and other risque subjects than anyone in history."I just want to clean up our city," he explains. The retired public relations director for Tulsa Regional Medical Center, Tom now is a freelance author in the Tulsa market. His wife, Charlotte, has passed out programs at the show for many, many years, and at one-time spearheaded after-show parties. Tom has taken only small roles in recent years, but actually broke into the Gridiron by portraying one of his life heroes, Richard Nixon.
Paul Davidson (cast) cast member since 1965, Paul retains amateur status and remains in the show because his fellow cast members and the directors are long-suffering and allow him to play the mandolin in the pickin' and grinnin' songs, which are a long-time tradition in the Gridiron. He requests the audience to please stop throwing items on stage while he is performing.
Virginia Dessauer (cast) Virginia clawed her way on stage, made up her lines and refused to leave. She is well qualified to be on stage, having taken dancing lessons in grade school - in which she excelled.
Jerry L. Cornelius (cast) Playing an OU football coach for the dozenteenth time (Bob Stoops currently), Jerry is the senior most cast member. Actually, Stoops was not even born when Jerry was in his first show back in the old Hotel Tulsa days. Another cast member said, "He was in the show when they used candles and megaphones". "That's not true" Jerry replies, "We used gas lights".
Gerrie Goins (cast) Gerrie began her "life upon the wicked stage" in second grade when she played the Queen Fairy. Needless to say, in her 7th year of Gridiron, that may have been the height of her career. Thanks, Gene, for 25 years.
Eva-Marie (Mimi) Haig (author) Mimi is the fourth of five children born to Catholic parents - her mother was a Belgian interpreter for the American Army, her father a GI from Philadelphia, Pa. During WWII - and thus she credits equally the Pope and Adolph Hitler for her very existence. A TU graduate and accomplished amateur bodybuilder, this 33-year-old wise-cracking single gal worked a string of local journalism and PR jobs before finding workplace bliss as a marketing manager for PennWell Corp. Haig wrote most of her Gridiron material following ingestion of an entire pot of coffee in the home she shares with two adorable cats, Vinny and Denise. Her most life-altering philosophical moment came when, referring to the comprehensiveness of a Chinese buffet, a waiter said in unsteady English: "Everything we have is everything we have." She is a connoisseur of fine makeup, wears SPF 45 even indoors, and is easy to find in a crowd due to her beyond-Ivory complexion and the frequent presence of an outrageously cute boyfriend.
Gordon Hart (cast) Self-employed as a writer, planner, marketer and "PR-er," Gordon has been in Gridiron over the past few years as a diversion from an otherwise serious, painstaking, meticulous lifestyle. His other roles include: husband of "the" Mary Hart; father to three and their spouses; and "Paw Paw" to nine, ages 3 to 15. If that's not enough, he's working on his memoirs of twenty-nine years in the Navy Reserves as a public affairs officer.
ELiz Son-Hollis (cast) ELiz is employed as the Marketing and Special Events Director of Tulsa County Parks and Golf, i.e., the Park Princess. She has recently upgraded her position from "keeper" to "wife" of T.A. "Haul-Ass" (yes, hell truly froze over December 2000.) Now they're "keeping" the 18 -year old "angel under construction" and three persians in line and away from the kitchen.
Susan Jarvi (cast) has yet to graduate from OSU and is still trying to decide what she wants to be when she grows up. In the meantime, she works as a waitress, volunteers whenever she can and loves music, history and her cat.
Randy Krehbiel (author) is the pseudonym of a traveling barber pole salesman and collector of rare Grand Funk Railroad eight-track recordings. He prefers to remain anonymous. After tonight's show, the audience will understand why. Jane Lyon has been singing since junior high school when a fellow camper taught her to play the ukelele, one of which she then had to get. She soon grew into a baritone ukelele, which she still has, and then graduated to the guitar, which she helps to teach each Sunday at Trinity Episcopal Church. She's been singing in public since high school. Various venues include Oktoberfest, Mayfest, Philbrook, some community theatre and Rick's Cafe Americain. She currently sings in the Trinity Episcopal Church Choir. Her particular forte is high harmonies and her style is folk-rock with a country flavor.
Melanie McMillan (cast, Trust) R.Dh., MLS, D.M.V., L.M.N.O.P., is Trust Treasurer. To supplement her income, McMillan is a digit-head for Tulsa Community College. Melanie would also like to remind you that the Tulsa Press Club Educational and Charitable Trust is 501(c)3 charitable organization and that all contributions are tax deductible - so give and give often.
Rebecca Marks-Jimerson (cast)  has been involved in theatre for over twenty years, including roles in "Ain't Misbehavin'," "Mississippi Delta," and "Little Shop of Horrors" for American Theatre Company. Im addition to her work as a multi-cultural coordinator for Tulsa Community College, Rebecca is a columnist for the Oklahoma Eagle and hosts "TCC Minutes" on Cox Cable channel 21.
Mary Lou Martin (cast)  was born in Tulsa, has a BA in Psychology from the University of Houston, an MA in Sociology and MA in Speech from West Texas State and attended the University of Valencia in Spain. She was a college professor for fifteen years, owned dancing and modeling schools and now owns the Newcomer Welcome Service of Tulsa. In addition, she hosted a thirty-minute televison talk show in Amarillo, Texas and spent two weeks dancing with the Barnum and Bailey Circus in Houston.
Elizabeth Meier (cast) Elizabeth makes her debut appearance on the Gridiron stage. A marketing associate at the Tulsa Area United Way, Elizabeth thought that appearing in the show would help her career. Little did she know that years from now, the Gridiron will use tapes of the show to blackmail her.
Ann Moore (crew) is still unemployed, sort of. She is the wife of Production Stage Dictator, Tim Moore, mother of Dierdre Erin and three cats who go running when the vacuum cleaner or baby are loose. Ann spends most days fully engrossed in the educational programming of Nick Jr., commenting that ėLittle Bear and Franklin are my favorite shows.î A box of hair dye sits waiting on the bathroom counter for this Gridiron show to be over....as she is still waiting for the final list of props she needs to make for this years show. Between scraping food off the floors, counters and ceiling, playing peek-a-boo and trying to make signs and props, Ann is glad that this show is earlier this year as it will not interfere with bulb planting and March Madness!
Tim Moore (Crew) is employed by the Tulsa Housing Authority as its Compliance Auditor. He has been involved with the show since 8 tracks were a hot commodity ( 1973). He has taken on many tasks through the years from making props, painting, stealing a line from Paul Davidson (yep, he had a cheat card taped on the back of his wearing sign just like the big boys) ,to his present position of Production Stage Director. In his spare (?) time, he enjoys playing with his one year old daughter Dierdre and thinking of the sheer hell he is going to put the boys through when she is old enough to date. As a hobby, Tim is also is a high school football and basketball official. Additionally, you can catch he and his wife Ann wearing their orange and supporting their favorite team - the OSU Cowboys.
Harold L. Morgan, Jr. (webmaster) Chief Fan of the Chief Author (see below), Harold (Skip) has maintained the Tulsa Gridiron website for the last few years despite massive lack of input from the Gridirion cast, crew and/or audience. When he is not stealing.. make that "appropriating"... jokes from other websites to beef up the Gridirion site, he is Director of Information Services for Wave 3 Communications. The Gridiron website is generally held to be much funnier than the actual show (known in the trades as "a short putt"); check it out at: http://www.oocities.org/Tulsagridiron
P. Casey Morgan (Chief Author, Trust)  is the Development Director for KWGS, Tulsa's Public Radio affiliate. She has been with the Gridiron for an unspecified number of years, working her way up from Understudy to the Phone Sex Operator, a position she is seriously considering working her way back down to. She would like to thank the webmaster (see above) for his unending support during their 19 years of marriage, even during the bad times (which would be, well, let's face it: Gridiron). During Gridiron performances, Casey can be seen pacing the room like a tiger with a bad haircut, plotting the grisly demise of all cast members who ad-lib.
Cindy Morrison (cast)  Cindy is the 5 pm Anchor and Investigative Reporter for KTUL-TV. The award-winning journalist is the 3rd generation in her family to graduate from OU. She worked at KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City for eight years before she finally wised up and figured out Tulsa was the much better place. Besides the TV gig, Cindy is married to her much younger and darling husband, Todd. ("Marry 'em young & train 'em right" - that's Cindy's motto.) Cindy's pride & joy is her 22-month old son and if you have thirty minutes or more, she'd be happy to show you the millions of pictures of Peyton she carries with her at all times.
Jerry Muratore (cast, Trust) Jerry returns to the Gridiron after a six year absence. He previously appeared in Gridirons from 1977 to 1994, with many unheralded moments. Since coming to Tulsa in 1976, Jerry has been with KOTV-Channel 6, KJRH-TV2 and Donrey Outdoor Advertising. He currently serves as President of the Tulsa Division of Eller Media (The former Donrey Outdoor.) Vicki Muratore (prompter) - Vicki's eagerly awaited return to the Gridiron marks the end of an entirely uncalled for exile to Texas and Kansas, during which she accomplished nothing of note, beyond honing her already first-rate whining skills. Though she's currently unemployed - and largely unemployable - Vicki hopes to soon establish her own psychic sex phone line, called, "1-888- I Saw That Coming."
Dick Risk (cast, Gridiron Trust member) Dick is celebrating his twenty-third consecutive year in Gridiron. He was an Air Force public affairs officer and ran an Armed Forces Radio and Television Service Network overseas. He also worked in public relations for Getty Oil and PSO. He ran the Southwestern Power Administration for Ronald Reagan. Currently, Dick publishes a national trade periodical, is a structured settlement broker and a law student.
Anne Thompson (costume chief) Anne is the Court Administrator and Administrative Hearing Officer for the City of Tulsa. She was recently dubbed the City's Sex Czar by Jim East after her notoriety as the hearing officer on the Mid Town Super Store (Sexually Oriented Business) licence appeal. On weekends she can be found at local swap meets, gun shows and tent revivals selling her WWDTCD line of jewelry.
Wes Thompson Wes still has no life outside Gridiron. With his new hairdo (yes, the golden locks are gone), he hopes to have a better chance with the Rockettes this year.
