OUR PETRIOTIC SONG-----

Our India is the best amongst the countries of the World. We are its nightingales and it is our garden. The highest mountain-neighbor to the skies is our sentinel and guards us. A thousand rivulets play in its lap, and due Religion does not teach us to hate each other. We are all Indians and India is our homeland.

In this room let us give some information of that country where we originaly belong. Yah....you guessed it correctly.. We are from India. A country with a 5000 year old history, with a glorious past. A country with a rich culture, a landmark of peace, a landmark of each era. India has given to the world the values of nonviolence, religious tolerance. Indian moto is instead of destroy anything, try to build it, instead of hate try to love human being, instead of isolation, bring the integration.

Ancient Indian scientists were really genius. India contributed a lot of great ideas in almost every field. In mathematics, in astronomy, in physics, chemistry and engineering, in logic, in fine arts, in medicine and in many more fields. Ancient Indian scientist invented the technique of algorithm, algebra, concept of zero (on which ultimately rests the binary code), technique of making crystal(sugar)cane sugar, making of camphor, tin and dyes like aniline and indigo. Concept of atom & relativity were explicitly stated by an Indian philosopher during 600 B.C. In geometry the line computation (Rekha Ganitam) was invented in India. Indian scientist invented Ayurveda - the science of longevity. India showed the way of doing surgery, anatomy and plastic surgery. Yoga - health of body and mind was originated in India. But the glory of this country is somewhat turnished today. God blessed our homeland in every way , but unfortunately we did not protect these things. But we hope that we will get our glory back in near future.





Our City

Calcutta recently renamed as Kolkata, is the city where we were born, where we grew up. Calcutta is in eastern part of India and capital of West Bengal State. This city with over 300 years history is the city of joy, city of full spirit, city of 5 Noble Laureates, city of Rabindranath Tagore, Mother Teresa, Satyajit Roy, Amartya Sen and of many celebrities.
