The Characters
of Yu Yu Hakusho
Urameshi Atsuko
is Yusuke’s mom. She’s twenty-eight years old. A seemingly uncaring
Mother at first due to her habits (smoking and drinking) but when Yusuke died, she cried
a lot.Everyday after Yusuke came back alive, Asuko will come into Yusuke’s room and wake him up
to make sure that he’s alive then cry showing she does care 'bout her
son. Not like the Manga version Atsuko
is only seen at the beginning of the series. Like Shizuru she smokes and
drinks a lot but unlike Shizuru, Atsuko rarely stops drinking.

At the start of the series Botan seemed a serious Spiritual Guide but as she became more involved with the Rei Kai her sweet disposition is seen. Botan is loyal to her new friends and sometimes this gets her in trouble with Koenma Jr. The jobs given are from Koenma and sometimes even if she doesnt understand all that it emplies she just does her duties. It has been known for Botan to actually risk herself in this missions and she's there for her friends anytime. At the Ningenkai( Human World) at first she is seen wearing the traditional Kimono but as she gets more comfortable with her sorroundings and its less conspicous she wear jeans and t-shirts and sometimes with matching baseball caps.
Keiko is what you call the "Hero's Girlfriend "and even from the begining is likeable. She doesnt take any crap from Yusuke even from the start and while every one is scared of him she for some reason sees the "Nice" Yusuke and remains his true friend and this friendship blosssomed into love that even she does not notice. She's a bit terrified not of Yusuke and his friends powers but their getting hurt because of the powerful enemies they faced. She's quite close to Botan and Shizuru as the story goes and always there to give support to her friends. Puu Yusuke's spiritual counterpart is very close to her and this shows how Yusuke does care for her.
Kuwabara
Shizuruis Kuwabara’s older
sister. She has an even stronger reikai power than Kuwabara but still
untapped. Shizuru seesm to act as if she doesnt care about her
brother but shows this in a rough way sometimes. Actually,
Shizuru is kind to anyone who she likes, for example: Keiko. Shizuru had
helped Keiko for many times like when they went to the tournament, when
the other youkai knew that there are also human here so those youkai
wanted to eat Keiko and Shizuru, but Shizuru put her cigarette into its
mouth. And that shows you how tough she is.Shizuru and Yusuke’s mother looks so alike in both manga and anime. Only
that their hair are different color. Shizuru has brown and Yusuke’s
mother had light brown, but the way they act are the same. Both love to
drink and smoke , but shizuru's smoking is more prominent.

Koenma
Son of the King of the Underworld Enma,
Koenma is first seen as a young baby (literally). Koenma is the one handling
his fathers realm while enma is doing other things, so it came to his
attention about Yusuke's unusual act of selflessness. He is a thousand or more
years old and that's why it's quite embarassing to see him with a
pacifier.
SPOILER WARNING: Unknown to most and it was revealed in the Sensui episode the pacifier held great power in it and Koenma has in for 300 or more years in his mouth. Koenma even though is a prince is a friend to his Rei kai the Yusuke team and even if he does order them around a lot cares for their safety and even defended Yusuke when he was reborn to his evil side.
Puu
is a spiritual counterpart to Yusuke Urameshi
cute and lovable at first, Puu is the physical semblance of Yusuke's power and
when he (Yusuke) gets stonger so does Puu's physical semblance changes. Puu is
always seen near Keiko not only because she's nice to him but he feels
safe with her. Even if Puu's not that strong at first he's their for
Yusuke like the time Genkai gave Yusuke her powers and Yusuke was hurting Puu
came to give water aaaaaww he's so nice for a ball of blue fur neh ^_^.
