I Love Critters of All Kinds!

My life with pets has been kind of strange. When I was a Senior in High School, I was asked to teach a Church class of 9 year old young kids (it's called Primary). It was so much fun! The best part was one young man named Chris, but everyone called him "Critter".

He loved all creatures so we would try to bring animals into the lesson to keep him interested! It was a huge honor when he brought me a water snake one day. It had been hybernating, so I let it back into my window well, to continue it's nap.

I was just coming home from a date once when we saw two salamanders in our window well. We named them "Sally" and "Mander". They had a nice existence and I would check on them once in while. I'm not a demanding pet owner *grin*.

My best friend moved away from our town the summer before our Senior year. She had given me a kitty and I was so excited to get one I could love and take care of. Well, when she found she was moving, she came and asked me if she could have the kitty back so she could have a pet to take with her. I cried (after all, I wanted my friend to be happy, I loved her), and said goodbye to the kitty.

While I was attending BYU in Provo, Utah, I acquired a really cute little German Shepherd puppy named "Blue". I had room mates that didn't exactly love the little guy and also, I had responsibilities, so I found a good home for Blue and gave him away too.

Then, my cousin's neighbor needed to get rid of an Irish Setter, so I took him in, but never saw this beautiful dog. I realized I didn't have a place to let Brandy run, so I found a home with my boyfriend's family.

My sister-in-law and brother discovered that their 1-year old son seemed alergic to cats, they gave me theirs. Her name was "Bobbin", but I liked "Muffin" more and promptly at 6 months old, she got a name change! She has been with us for 15 years and loves Matthew and Christopher (my grandsons). When we come home from Church, if she is outside, she rolls over (she is a CAT...) so we can pet her. She sees us at the corner and begins to meow at us! She is our "watch cat". I finally got to keep a pet!

Please take a few minutes and check out my Critters. They love visitors!
