TURTLE'S WESTBANK RESTAURANT GUIDE
Outback Steakhouse
No Rules, Just Right is the catch phrase of the steakhouse chain.  Outback pretends to be an Australian Theme.  It does have boomarangs hanging on the wall to convince us that we are in the counrty Downunder.

This does not deter from the fact that they cook a good setak here.  Most people start off their meals here with a Bloomin' Onion.  While they do a good job of that dish here, I don't especially find them better than anywhere else in the city.  The Kookaburra Wings aare some of the best buffalo wings around.

You don't want to fill up on appetizers.  The size of the entrees are large enough for the normal diner.  The menu list your typical steakhouse selections: Filet, Ribeye, Porterhouse, NY Strip, Prime Rib, and The Outback Sirloin Special.  I find that the filet is the best steak here.  They do a  fine job of cooking your steak here.  They tend to undercook it just a little.  That way, it is easier to bring your steak to the right temp as apposed to having to cook another.  To me, the best dish in the house is the Rack of Lamb.  If you like to eat lamb, you know that it is hard ot find on the westbank.  My only complaint about the steaks is that the seasoning they used is missing.  It seemed like they would marinate the steaks before they hit the grill.  The meat is not a s taste as it used to be.

There are many other good things on the menu.  Any of the BBQ platters as well as the Pasta dihses are well done.  The Pork Chops are the Best on the Westbank.

The serevice staff does a good job.  Your drinks never run dry.  Ask to get the Honey Butter with the bread.  This is an excellent treat.
