Search Tutorial For Memory Gutter:
Start the game task
Start Memory Gutter
Click on open task button in the memory gutter main dialog
Select the game window title from the list box, The game task will be loaded and you would see the task id and name with address etc. in the main memory gutter window, if this happens, then the game task is loaded successfully.
click on the Search Button; Select the value type, value Search method, value base, write the value in the Value 1 edit box, click on the ok button
then the value suppose you wrote value 99 in the value 1 box and selected DWORD as the search type, selected exact value in the search method combo box, and base as decimal; then the value is being searched. If the program finds the value, the value count will be displayed in the status bar in the bottom of the memory gutter window. If the value count exceeds the display limit (you can change this option in the options dialog) the multiple searched values will not be displayed.
If multiple values are searched, then make some change to the value in the game, then click Research button in the memory gutter window and select the search method, if the value is decreased, select decreased, if the value is increased, select increased, if you know the exact value, then select the search method 'Exact Value' and write the value in the value 1 edit box, click ok
If the program searched multiple values again then make the value to be changed in the game, click on research and search the value again and again until the correct value is found.
When the value is displayed, double click on the value, the address will be added to the selected list box, then dblclick on the value you selected in the selected list box, Poke dialog box will be displayed, then write some value and the value is changed.
go back to the game, and if you see the value changed, then you are succeeded. you can save the cheats in the cheat database by clicking on the save button, you can load saved values by clicking on the open button and selecting the cheat file.
you can do other thing by yourself when you understood the above example. More examples will be added.

Advanced search tutorial for Memory Gutter:
Start the game task; open it by clicking on the open task button and selecting it, Click on the Search button and select Advanced from Search combo box, select other options. Rule: you can only use advanced search for searching decimal values. Click on ok button and then the search begins, it could take some time depending on the speed of your computer and the memory size of the game task. Go to the game and make some changes in the value you want to search, then click on the research button and select Search option and click ok Repeat this if necessary until you find write value, Save the value in the cheat file by clicking on the Save button.

String Search tutorial for Memory Gutter:
Start the game task; open it by clicking on the open task button and selecting it, Click on the search button and select Exact Value from the Search combo box; Select any value type from the Type combo box; Select String from the Base combo box, write the string value in the Value 1 edit box; click on OK. If the String exists in the game, they would be shown in the Found List View control in the Main Window.

Opening/Saving a Cheat File:
Start the game task; open it by clicking on the open task button and select it, Click open to open cheat file and then load it. To save the file click on save button and select filename and save.

Value Range Tutorial:
Start the game task; open it by clicking on the open task button and select it; Click on Search button and select Range from search combo box, select the option in the search type combo box (BYTE to DWORD only currently supported in the beta versions); Select Decimal option from the base combo box (Only Decimal currently supported in the beta versions). Write the minimum value range in the Value 1 Edit Box, Write the maximum value range in the Value 2 Edit Box; Click on ok; The program will then find values from Value 1 Range to Value 2 Range, this process can also be used in Advanced Search/Range option!

Using Global Cheat Key For Memory Gutter:
If this is the first time you are using this program, Start the program first, check the Global cheat key check box in the Configuration window; Exit this program to initialize new settings; Start this program again and then start the pc game which does not allow to use CTRL+ALT+DEL or SHIFT+TAB; press the SHIFT+*; You would be taken to windows desktop! And now you could cheat in games! If you want to go back to the game again, then click once on the game tab button on the task bar and you would be taken to the game task.

Stuck in Registration Window? Read this:
If you have started this program first time on the current windows XP platform, you would be taken to the EULA and registration dialog. Now if you want to use this program, then you must fill your name, your email address and your company or home address. Click on accept to accept the EULA. You would be taken to the main window. Click on exit and restart this application. Now you are a registered user of this program. If you want to reset the user registration, check the option ‘reset user registration’ and press ok in the settings dialog and click on the exit button on the main window and restart this application. You would now be taken to the EULA and user registration dialog again and you must fill this box again to use this product!
 

Tips:
If you used advanced search and then used research function but you got 0 result, then you do not need to worry! you can retry only the research function again with different value or option and if the result is more than 0, then you would have to use advanced search again. If you failed with researching correct value again and again. That's all

If you specified a password to lock Memory Gutter XP. You should know that this program stores the password in an unsecured location without encryption! Do not use your secret password instead use any local word password which could be discarded. Password encryption would be added in the future versions of Memory Gutter XP.

This program has priority option in the Search data and Research data dialogs. You could use this option to speed up the processing. If you select idle priority, you could run other programs like Winamp etc in the background. If you selected time critical priority, you should stop any multimedia applications before click on ok button! otherwise the processing would be very slow and time consuming.

If you are starting to search any value from the big game process, you should pause the game from the game itself before using memory gutter.

Do not press reset button on the big box or otherwise the some of the files would be corrupted while Memory Gutter XP is finding any value!

To change Sieve minimum buffer range, you could have these recommended best values: 524288 (512 KB), 1048576 (1 MB), 5242880 (5 MB)

To change Sieve Buffer Size, It should be in multiple of 4s or otherwise errors would occur! Sieve buffer size should be half or same value as Sieve Minimum Buffer Range!

Max Addresses setting in the configuration dialog represents how many addresses should be showed in the Memory Gutter Found Items list view.

Max Addresses searched setting in the configuration dialog represents how many addresses should be searched maximum.

Refresh Time setting in the configuration dialog represents at which amount of milliseconds should Selected items list view should be refreshed to show changed values.

Freeze Time setting in the configuration dialog represents at which amount of milliseconds should Selected Freeze items should be written values you selected again and again.
