Performance Capabilities

I believe there are three main things to consider regarding a wedding or special event soloist's capabilities: range, style, and accompaniment.

Range

I am a tenor and would be able to perform any song in the tenor range. Most songs are available in various keys, so even if you've heard a song in a female or low male bass register in the past, it is probably possible to get music in the tenor singing range.

 Style

The main styles performed in wedding ceremonies are classical, pop, and contemporary Christian.

I am well-versed in the performance of all of these styles of music.

If there is something more unique you had in mind for your ceremony, from ancient music to jazz, I can probably accommodate you.

Accompaniment

With popular and contemporary Christian selections, you can choose a piece that I currently have a background tape for, or I can simply order the background cassette for your song(s).

With classical selections, contemporary songs for which background tapes are unavailable, or if it is simply your preference, a piano accompanist would be necessary. You will probably already have a pianist or organist involved in your wedding. I have no problem singing with that person accompanying. Those details can be worked out without too much trouble. If you do not have a keyboard player at your disposal, I may be able to supply a qualified accompanist. Any such accompanist would incur his or her own separate fees. For some songs (primarily popular music) I may be able to accompany myself on the piano.

No matter what the situation, I am very confident your desires for accompaniment can be worked out.
