| My Favorite Coffee Shops |
![]() Figaro is where I usually go to. Besides being relatively cheaper than Starbucks, there's a branch near my home. Figaro provides an atmosphere of casual elegance and privacy where customers can enjoy their favorite cup of coffee while talking business, engaged in a vibrant discussion with friends, or simply to have some peace and quiet. Every Figaro coffee shop and espresso bar offers quality coffee in a variety of beans, blends, roasts, brews, flavors, concoctions, and serving options; as well as a wide selection of teas and pastries. Of course, a Figaro shop would not be complete without the brewing equipment, mugs, cups, containers, spoons, swizzle sticks, treats, trivets, even books - coffee table or otherwise, that adorn the shelves and counters creating the perfect setting for coffee lovers. Offering twelve flavors of coffee at any one time, Figaro uses only the best, handpicked Philippine Arabica from the best coffee farms in the country. A Figaro specialty is its flavored beans. While most restaurants flavor their coffee by adding syrup to the brew, Figaro actually "cures" the flavors right into the beans. These are the Figaro Classics: Espresso A special blend coaxed to yield the essence of fine coffee in a one-ounce shot. Cappuccino Espresso with steamed milk and a foamy cap to contain the warmth. Figaro Frost Absolutely the coolest, smoothest, ice-blended coffee in town. | ![]() Starbucks is one of those coffee shops known to be for the "rich and coño." Surely, I do not fit into such category, but nevertheless, I still enjoying having a cup of coffee here. When Starbucks Coffee opened its first store in Seattle's Pike Place Public Market, it began as an unusual place because they were the first their kind. At a time when canned supermarket coffee was the standard, selling fresh-roasted whole beans in a special store was a revolutionary concept. They take pride in the so-called "'Starbucks Roast" which enables them to turn green coffee into rich, chestnut brown beans packed with flavor. Each store has a wide variety of coffee brewers which have been tested and evaluated. Starbucks doesn't recommend percolators because boiling coffee makes it bitter. With equally efficient baristas, coffee lovers have flocked to Starbucks, creating remarkable growth during the past three decades. Here some of the well-loved Starbucks coffee: ![]() Caffè Latte Espresso with steamed milk Cappuccino Espresso with steamed and foamed milk Caffè Mocha Espresso with cocoa, steamed milk and whipped cream Frappuccino Ice Blended Coffee A cup of rich Starbucks coffee and cold milk blended into smooth, creamy perfection ![]() |
