The beginning I can clearly remember giving my first massage at age 8. My first "client" was my babysitter. Even then, my hands moved about, giving chops, rotating in a soothing manner, and gently gliding over shoulders, arms and legs. Throughout the years I continued to work on my own style of massage, intuitively moving hands, arms and elbows, in order to give the person in my care a gentle sense of pleasure and relaxation. The passion and intuition never died, nor did the dream to become a professional Massage Practitioner. In September of 2002, I was introduced to ESALEN INSTITUTE in Big Sur, California, where, through the intervention of fate, this dream would finally came to fruition. Some would way it was purely by coincidence, but many special events took place to bring me there, both internally and externally in a serendipitous way that the Japanese refer to as GOEN. The awakening of this dream did not come, however, from giving a massage, but through receiving. Although I knew I had a gift for making others relax and find peace with the comfort and security of my touch, I had spent a lifetime convinced that I would never find anyone who could awaken my own body the same way. But liberation finally came at Esalen where I would experience my first completely freeing, and emotionally and physically holistic massage.  Next
