My main hobby is singing. When I was singing in the 3rd Generation Band in the Nihal Hotel most of my songs were Karen Carpenter, Carol king, Tracy Chapman, and The Pretenders, etc. The first set was relaxed and slow, so I sang the Carpenter's songs, then in the 2nd set it was faster and more rock, specially the last sets, with lots of choreography. We were never allowed to contact with the audience only for request, especially during Ramadan.

The Holiday Inn was very different. The Easter Exposure Band was encouraged to get audience participant. There they were all allowed to sing and dance on the stage, together with the Band. Most of the audience participant was done in the last few sets of the evening when they were more relaxed and uninhibited. It was terrific fun!!!.
Since giving up singing as a profession, I get immense pleasure from doing guest spots and karaoke.

The second hobby is artistry, mainly sketching, drawing and painting portraits. I love to draw and paint almost as much as singing and frequently grab charcoal and paper to set something down before it disappears. I recently took up water colors and pastel although I need a little more practice to perfect the technique. I am waiting for the day when I can do a large water color and then break into oils, and who knows.....

I recently took up the game of tennis and it is progressing slowly although the lessons have accelerated the learning process over the past few weeks. Sunday nights is mix in, When we play with all levels, from beginner (me) to 'A' Division league players. It is great fun and us lesser players receive a lot of help and useful hints to improve our game.
