Mickey Changes His Image |
2gether is offended at a movie made by MTV that jokes the band. Mickey gets overly angry at the fact that he's the "poser," and he punches the cupboard until the guys can get him down. At a meeting with Lawless, the guys find out a way to help Mickey calm his anger, or the band will be ruined. Chad lures Mickey to a psychiatrist's office by telling him about a shipment of artillary. Mickey, being the bad boy into stuff like guns, goes along with him. He gets angry and tries to leave again when he sees the rest of the guys in the office. They want him to deal with his anger, and he stays. The psychiatrist suggests to play "the empathy game" to help Mickey understand how everyone else feels about his anger. The guys just end up getting confused about who is playing who, and Mickey storms out. Erin asks Jerry to get her her favorite candy bar, but you can see in Jerry's face that he completely forgot what it was. He gets her every single chocolate bar because he doesn't really know her favorite. Erin gets angry because he can't remember. Marvin Boyd gives Mickey a chat in his room. Mickey discovers that Marvin used to be in the music business and paved the way for gangsta rap. He tells Mickey about the dangers of gangsta rap, and that Mickey needs to change because it can hurt him later. Mickey goes to a different psychiatrist, and he is left in the room to watch something on TV that brainwashes him. Pictures like Eminem and Kid Rock show up on the screen as "me," but then pictures of Celine Dion and kittens are the "enemy." Then all the pictures get mixed up until the pictures of "me" become what was the "enemy." 2gether practices for the unplugged concert. Mickey then appears in khaki pants and a polo shirt. He apologizes for his behavior and promises to do the solo for the concert and the publicity on the radio show. The other guys think it's just an act. They even become more worried when they see Mickey baking cake and muffins. They want the old Mickey back. At the radio show, the announcers expect to talk to "bad boy Mickey Parke," but Mickey is a new man. He talks about each of the guys, but adds one little bad side about each of them. When he gets back home, the guys tell Mickey that he's ruining the band and they don't like the new him. Mickey sees Erin working at the video store, and Erin confesses to him that she's upset at Jerry. He buys her a Nestle's Crunch bar, knowing that it's her favorite. He even remembers her favorite movie, Jerry Maguire. He's never seen it, so he makes a date to see it with her. Back at the house, 2gether tries to get Mickey mad so he can go back to his old self. Mickey raises a hand to hit Jerry after he made a comment about music, but he puts it down, and tells Jerry to spend more time with his girlfriend. Mickey sits alone and strums on his guitar, singing "Regular Guy." He is then seen singing on stage to Erin. Then Jerry walks in and gives Erin lots of Crunch bars, making Mickey angry and storming off the stage. The guys are happy that Mickey is back to his old self, and they all come back on stage to sing unplugged, with Mickey receiving the most applause. |
