countrymomof2 went right to work on her hats...The wonderful crocheted one with the flower is soft and floppy...and the baseball hats she purchased and embellished with paints and silk flowers really filled the bill! The kids will love them...thank you countrymom!

What a wonderful person Debby109 is! She has been so helpful in finding information helpful to this project, as well as making some great hats...she is making a hat for each of her healthy children and grandchildren...what a great idea! I've been so blessed to have met her...Thank you Debby!

These are a couple of hats I made...I came up with the idea to use the huggies as the hats' decorations! The larger huggie is attached to the hats via a slim piece of elastic, and so can be taken off and played with then reattached. I added the smaller ones to the end of the ties to enhance the larger one...so the "mama" goldfish can play with the "baby" gold fish, and the cat can chase the mice!

OldSisterBear is one fantastic lady...and her hats really reflect her creativity! Each one is unique. These are only a few of the hats she has made. I love this "newsboy" style. The huggie is a star shape with a face painted on it and has a button heart, and hangs from a button sewn on the hat. Her hats are decorated with buttons, silk ribbon flowers, paints, ribbons, you name it! She has become very dear to me, really like a sister, and has been so helpful with this project. Thank you OldSisterBear!

Pastel really jumped right in and got to work! And what a nice lady! Her baseball caps embellished with felt items are just adorable, and her little felt bears work for boys or girls. The "do-rags" you see are made from cotton knit t-shirt material and will be so comfortable indoors or in hot weather. I learned from a friend that had cancer that she wore a scarf under her cowboy hat to absorb moisture or protect against scratchy or itchy surfaces. Pastels do-rag hats would really be great for that too! Thank you Pastel!

And last, but not least, thanks to all the others who have made, or volunteered to make,
hats and huggies, or have contributed yarn or other materials.
You are ALL "Angels".
