RollerBlade TRS Access Review The TRS access is the cheaper of the skates and it shows. First off, the TRS line of skates as a whole, are great skates. They are pretty much all the same except for color, bearings, wheels, and liner. The generic design they all have features a huge soul area and a huge negative as well. The skate slides super fast, on the frame and soul area, and flex quite nicely. They are, in my opinion, the most stylish and unique skate out there and they are customizable. You can change everything from the overboot to the midsole, to the sole plates and the UFS frames. As for the TRS access skate itself, it is the cheapest of the whole line, with the details and the estillos being the more expensive, and it shows. The wheels are absolutley awful as they chip and fall apart after a few weeks of skating. That is completely unacceptable, but can be easily fixed by sending a polite e-mail to RollarBlade about thier wheels and they will send you new ones. Another downside is the liner. The liner is so thin on the Access that if you hit your toe on a ledge you WILL feel it. Also there is a complete lack of a shock absorber. WHAT were they thinking! Gaps feel like you are landing barefoot, so I recommend buying an absorber and stuffing it in there. As far as the bearings go, they roll good for ABEC 3 but if you feel they are slowing you down then by all means, buy new bearings, but I don't think you really need them. So in closing, there are only two reasons you should go for the Access over the Details. One, you don't have the extra 50 bucks to upgrade to the Details (Although, after replacing the wheels, absorber, and bearings you are already looking at spending over 50 bucks). Two, you really, really, really want black as the color, but you don't want to spend 100 dollars morefor the Estillos, or don't want leather (some vegetarians do!). Another caution, don't overtighten the axels on the frames, if you do then you WILL NOT be able to get them off. It is grooved on the underside of the bolt so it locks on and will not let go so you end up stripping the hole on the bolt and will have to drill it off. K2 Enemy Review These skates are amazing. They are extremely comfortable, to the point that you wont wanna take em off. They have a really fast soul plate, and although it has a small negative plate, its good enough to slide on ledges and boxes. The H block is as good as ever, and these skates are good for all terrain. They are stealth, so they sound nice, they have good styling, and they will help you with so many new trix. The only down sides to these skates is the grindplate and the wheels, the grind plate wears down kinda quick, and the wheels too, but all wheels do By Mathew, USA |
Champ UFS Psirus Review I always skated Razors first of all. When i put on these skates the first thing i noticed was the comfort. The liner is really thick and nice and cool. The only thing i dont like about the liner is the gap in the liner were the tongue is. when i skated on them for a while and got used to them i started grinding. They slide really good and fast, which is what you would expect from USD. The new kizer ufs frames slide really good too. The USD champ wheels roll smoothly and they dont really wear down that fast. What i think about this skate is if you want a kind of cheap skate (around $250) that is really good quality then go for this skate. I now skate on USD if that helps you decide how good they are.
