The Y-Files Application Process
Now that you have decided to join the ranks of The Y-Files, let me explain in further detail the information that should be included in your application.
Letter of Introduction: Address to Assistant Director Walter S. Skinner with today's date. This is your chance to impress THE MAN with your individual personality and wit. Make yourself stand out from the other applicants!!! Explain WHY you should be assigned to The Y-Files, what your unique qualities are and how they will benefit the department. Best advise...BE CREATIVE! Remember, we do try to play this game as close to real life as possible, so make certain your application reflects this.
Submission of Resume: This should be submitted along with your letter of introduction. Please include the following information:
- Name (can be either your actual name OR one selected for the forum specifically)
- Date of Birth (VR applicant MUST be at least 24 years old to apply to the FBI)
- Place of Birth
- Current Place of Residence
- Family/Next of Kin
- Marital Status
- E-mail address
- Education - include majors and minors. Entry requirements state that there are four entry programs: Law, Accounting, Language and Diversified. Each has basic requirements. CLICK HERE to link to the official FBI web page for further information. (Please be certain that your years in school and degrees earned coincide with the age of your character.)
- Job Experience - minimum of 2-3 years necessary.
- Hobbies and Interests
- A picture of the applicant is appreciated, but not necessary.
It is recommended that the applicant submit all the above information in an orderly format and email it to the Director of the Personnel Department, S.A.C. Elisheva A. Toews at elishevatoews@hotmail.com. When the application is accepted, notification will be posted to The X-Files Official Web Site's Interactive /Fanfic Folder, and the agent's name and bio will be added to the List of Active Agents on this site.
