Chapter Five...Things become Normal
Trunks waited to talk to his mother. He wanted to tell her about Gohan's idea. It was a rather good idea he thought. Things would be better if they came close to normal. Bulma was cleaning up a little in the kitchen. She knew that everything would be okay now. Vegiita was home, Son-kun was back. Gohan was also here now. Things were like they should be. It was almost unreal, but all thease years of living in a dying world, now would be put back together faster then she could imagine. While Goku was there Bulma asked him about helping rebuild citys and town, Goku agreed to do what ever was needed to put things right again. With him and Vegiita, not to mention Trunks helping, the hope of restoring everything was great and people would be back living their live again. When she was finished doing odd jobs in the kitchen, she went out to see what Trunks need to talk to her about.
"So whats on your mind?" She said sitting down by him
"Well, Gohan had this idea. We both agreed and I just wanted to know what you thought." He said
"Hai, what was his idea?" She said
"How would you like to see me younger again?" He asked
"Younger?" She said puzzled
"The last time Gohan saw me I was younger then him, now I'm older then him and he asked me if I would be up to using the dragon balls to wish me younger again." Trunks said
"Ohh, I get it. So your trying to fill in the gap from when you last seen him to make it more normal are you not?" She said
"Yeah, it would be beter if we were back to the ages we are suppose to be at in the first place." Trunks said
"True. I think its a good idea if you do." She said
"I do." He said.
"Okay, in 178 days you can make your wish." Bulma said
"I thought it was a whole year." Trunks said
"Nope, it a Namack year, not an earth year." She said
"Oh, that explains it." He said
The 178 day went by fast. During this time Trunks and Gohan were busy helping to put the citys back together. Goku and Vegiita did their part, even Piccolo. They helped clean out fallen biuldings and put up knew one. They made knew roads and streets, also help people whos houses were distroyed still. The citys were all looking new again by the time the dragon balls were able to be used. Gohan headed over to Trunk's house. They both split up with two dragon radars and looked for the dragon balls. They each found three then both set out to find the last one together. After calling upon the dragon Trunks and Gohan were face to face with the long and tisted body of the dragon.
"You have collected all seven dragon balls, you will be granted three wishes, speak them now." The huge dragon said. Gohan elbowed Trunks to make the wish.
"Dragon, I wish I was two years younger then Gohan, but I want to keep my power and speed also my ability to use it." Trunks asked.
"Your wish will be granted." The dragon's eye turned red the Trunks started to grow down. He got a little smaller in size. Yeah he was younger now alright. Gohan watched as his older friend became his younger friend.
"What is your second wish?" The dragon spoke.
"Trunks, what are you gonna use the last two wishes for?" Gohan asked
"I got a few things in mind." He wispered to Gohan "Dragon I wish that everyone, but Gohan's and my family will know me to have been on this word four 14 years so they wont ask me why I got young all of a sudden." Trunks said
"This wish will be granted." The dragon said as his eye once again glowed.
"Wow good idea, where did you come up with that?" Gohan said
"Well I didn't want people I knew to ask how I got smaller." He said
"Make your last wish." The dragon said
"Now what are you gonna wish for?" Gohan asked Trunks eyed Gohan's tail and smiled.
"Dragon, I wish for my tail to grow back." Trunks said,
"It will be done." The dragon said. Trunks tail started to grow, it got longer and longer until it was fully grown back. Trunks wiggled it around then it wrapped around his waist.
"Your wishes have been granted." The dragon turned into light and it rose to the sky in a ball and the dragon balls started to fly away one by one.
"You wished for your tail?" Gohan said
"Yeah I seen yours awhile ago and desided to get mine since I've never had a tail since I was about one or two." Trunks said grabbing his tail and looking at it closly. Gohan un raped his tail and let it hover around him.
"Yeah I guess they arn't so bad," He said to Trunks "but don't ever look at the full moon or are we in for it." Gohan said
"Really. I heard about that." Trunks said
"Well let go home." Gohan said
"Sure thing."
They both went to Trunk's house first. Bulma freaked out when she seen how different Trunks look form when he left to his now age of 14. She was even more suprized when said noticed the tail that unraped itself and waved around behind him. Trunks liked having a tail so far. No real reson really, but if he was born with one why not have it forever? After a while Gohan went home saying to Trunks that he would see him later.
The next day (which happen to be Monday) Bulma got Trunks up real early. She almost draged him out. He got up unwillingly and got dressed. Bulma was in the kitchen with something for him to eat. He sat down at the table, still yawning, but awake none the less, wondering why she got him up so early. She sat some food for him and sat down with tea for her to drink.
"Why do I have to be up so early?" He said
"Because, your going to school." She said, Trunks look at her funny.
"Oh.." He said
"Whats the matter not very exsighted?" She said
"I don't wanna go to school." He said
"Well, your going." She said
"Man, Do I have to, its too early." He said
"You haven't been to school much so you have too, besides Gohan will be there too." Bulma said.
Trunks ate (which didn't take long if you know what I mean) then left for school. He did leave rather late since his mother couldn't get him up right away. Trunks looked at the time. He was gonna be late if he didn't hurry. He started to put on some speed by running. He got there in no time. Trunks went to the office and got his schedule. He walked around looking for his first class. He really had never seen this school before let alone know how to navigate around inside it. Trunks was looking at his paper and walk when he ran into someone. He looked up right away.
"Ashikarazu..." He said apologizing.
"Its okay my fault. Are you lost?" The girl said to him. Trunks started to blush
"Well no, not lost I just don't know where I am at the moment. I'm just looking." He said, face turning red. She smilled
"Are you sure, I can show you to what class you have." She said
"No, I'm fine. I'm sure if I keep looking I will find it. But I'm not lost." He said
"Okay what ever you say. Good luck." She said walking away.
"Thanks." He said. After she was out of sight Trunks realized he was holding his breath. After he started to breath again he continued to find his class
"Hey, good one, are you trying to be obviously unaware of where your class is or what?" Gohan said coming from behind Trunks.
"No...I was just trying to find algebra, I can find it." He said
"Okay well for one your not on the right floor." Gohan said. "But you did know that didn't you?" He continued.
"Okay so I'm lost." He said folding the paper.
"Yeah something you failed to mention to Akeava."Gohan said
"Who?" Trunks said
"The girl you just managed to make a fool of your self in front of." He said to Trunks
"Oh, I just didn't want to bother her with trying to find my class." Trunks said
"Yeah. Looked like it. Common I will show you where the class is." Gohan said walking in the direction of Trunk's class.
"Okay here is your class, let me see your schedule." Trunks handed Gohan the paper.
"Your second hour class is on the first floor right next to the steps, and your third is on the first floor about five classes down from the second. You fourth is right over there about two class rooms away from here and your fifth is on the first floor again should be hard to find. You then have lunch, if you just follow everyone else you should find it. And your last two are on the third floor. There isn't many class rooms up there so you will find it." Gohan said
"Okay...I can remember that." He said unsure of him self
"Yes you can. We have second hour together and lunch then our last class. I will find you and we can walk down there so you wont get lost so just look for me after this class is over." He said giving the paper back to Trunks
"Okay." He said taking it and putting it in his pocket. Gohan walk away and Trunks went in his class room.
After listening to the teaching forever talk about stuff that Trunks couldn't keep his mind focused on the bell rand and Trunks walk out of the class room. Gohan soon showed up and lead him to the first floor where the next class they shared was. Trunk got a seat by Gohan and tryed his best to listen this time. His mind still wandered off, thinking this like he was hungery or he was bored, and mostly if the girl who Gohan call Akeava really thought he was a freak. No matter it was a big school, he might not even see her again. The bell rang and Gohan walked with Trunks as far as he could until they had to split to go to his class. Trunks found the class with the directions Gohan said and went in. It was a study hall. He sat down at the back of the class. He really didn't feel like studying hence the name study hall so he put his elbows on the table instead and just sat there. She walked in and sat close to him, not noticing him at first. Trunk realized it was Akeava and his face started to turn red. She look over and smiled. Trunks faked a smile and then pretended to be busy. After class was over She came over to talk to him.
"So, you finding your way around?" She said
"Yeah..real good." He said picking up his stuff.
"I hope so. It is a big school." She said
"So umm...what grade are you in?" He managed to say
"I'm a freshman. What about you?" She said
"Same." He said
"I gotta go, see you at lunch?" She said
"Sure cya." He said
Trunks found all his class better then he thought, it wasn't that hard after Gohan explained it to him. He sat through them all bored and hungery, until finally lunch came. He got in line as fast as he could then went to find Gohan. They found eachother and sat down to eat. Have more food then everyone else some people stared for a while. They didn't mind, they just wanted to eat. Ater they were down, which was before almost everyone else, they got up and went out side. Trunks layed down on the grass and Gohan sat down up against a wall and pulled out a book to read. Trunk's tail unraped and rested on the ground.
"You shouldn't let people see your tail Trunks." Gohan said looking up from his book.
"I know, but its been around my waist all day, I'm starting to loose feeling in it." He said
"I know what you meen." Gohan said returning to his book. Trunks noticed Akeava walking over to them. He quickly hid his tail.
"Hi, do you have a nice lunch?" She said greeting Trunks.
"Yeah, I was real hungry. How about you?" He said trying not to blush.
"It was nice, I never did ask you your name." She said
"Trunks." He said
"Mines..."
"Akeava, I know" He said
"Really who told you?" She said
"Wild guess?" Trunks said
"Okay. So what class do you have next?" She asked.
"Gym, then world geo." He said pulling the paper out of his pocket.
"I have world geo too last hour." She said
"I'll see you there I guess." Trunks said
"Yeah, see ya then." She said Gohan did pay any attention, he was lost in the book still.
The bell rang and the two went to class. After it was over they met infront of the last class and sat down together again. Akeava walked in with one of her friends. She took the seat infront of Trunks, her friend infront of Gohan. She turn real fast to say hi to Trunks. He smile, blushing he said hi back.
The teacher went on to talk about stuff, and Trunks didn't really listen. Gohan seemed to be bored as well, but he was doing better then Trunks at taking down some notes. After class Gohan and Trunks started to walk home together. They both let their tail hang.
"So how was your first day?" Gohan said.
"I don't like school. Oh well, I'll deal with it some how." He said
"Hey guys!" A voice called from behind. They turned to see Akeava. She smiled.
"Hi Akeava." Trunks said
"Hey." Gohan said. Trunk had just remembered his tail. He knew he would get a million and one questions if she seen it. Gohan noticed too. He snuck his around his waist and acted like normal. Trunks tryed but too late.
"Whats that?" She asked
"Whats what?" He said nurvously.
"That thing behind you." She said trying to see what it was.
"Oh..its nothing." He said. Gohan found this funny.
"Let me see it." She said. Trunks looked at Gohan who tryed not to laugh. Gohan nodded for him to let her see.
"If I show you, you can't tell anyone okay?" Trunk said
"Okay, swear, I wont tell." She said.
Trunks brought his tail around to the front for her to see. She looked at it funny, not knowing what it was at first. She put her hand out to touch it. It wiggled around almost scaring her. She was wided eyed looking at the strange seamingly alive limb floating around him. She looked up at Trunks.
"What....is that?" She said
"Haven't you ever seen a tail before?" He said
"Nani?...You have a tail??" She said
"Yeah so?" He said Gohan smiled, then laughed. She look at it for a while. He brought it back behind him again.
"Quit laughing Gohan, you have on too remember?" He said. Gohan stopped laughing.
"You have one too?" She said
"Alright I admit it." He said as his tail came around and infront of him.
"How...did you, um" She began.
"We were born with them." Gohan said
"You were?" She said.
"Yeah. Its not like we could glue them on." Trunks said
"Really. Well thats interesting." She said They started walking again.
"How could you be born with a tail?" She said
"We both get it from our father's side of the family." Trunks said just as he thought a million questions. "Soo they have them too?" She said
"Yeah, something like that." Gohan said
"So do you two have any more wierd hang up that I should know about?" She said
"Not that I know of." Gohan said
"Just don't think we will be look up at night often." Trunks said
"Why?" She asked
"Don't ask..." Gohan said
"Ohh..." She said
"Kinda hard to beleave you saw a tail huh?" Trunks said
"Well, its not like I see them everyday. Do you like have a tail?" She asked
"When you have it around your waist all day it kinda like having your foot fall asleep, but other then that yeah." Trunks said
"This is too wierd." She said.
"Hey Trunks. Did you know my mom is pregnant?" Gohan said
"No..Really? When did you find that out?" He said
"Yesterday. She is six moths." Gohan said
"Familys getting bigger huh?" Akeava said
"Yep." Gohan said
"I don't think it would be too bad to have a sibling" Trunks said
"Maybe not...Well I have to go this way, see ya later Trunks, Maybe I'll come over later." Gohan said
"Okay see ya." Trunk said as Gohan walked it the direction of his house. Akeava and Trunk continued to walk together.
"So you've had a tail your whole life?" She said
"Actually I had it removed when I was young, but I had it w...I grew it back." He cut out the part about the dragon balls, that would just add about a billion more questions.
"Really." Akeava said
"Yeah...I just don't want anyone to know because look how many questions I got from just you. Its really nothing big. Everyone would make a big deal out of it and I just don't want any attention." He said "I guess your right. Well I live just over there. See you tomarrow." She said
"Okay see ya." Trunks said.
Trunks saw her everyday at school. They sat together at lunch with Gohan. One day Akeava's friend started sitting with them too. Akeava introduced her to them as Videl. Soon Trunks found out his mother was Pregnant also. He didn't mind too much, like he said it wouldn't be too bad having a sibling, heck a while ago he didn't even have a father, now he is getting a brother or sister. Chichi had her baby soon. It was a boy, she named it Goten. The young half saiya-jin who was born with a tail looked like a clone of his father. A few months later Bulma had twins. A girl, with bulma hair color and a tail, who she named (you guessed it) Bra. Also a boy, who had Vegiita's temper, Trunk's eye color, and dark hair that stuck up a bit. Not to mention a tail. He was named Shotsu. Early on all three showed signs that they had the potential to be very strong.
Trunks and Gohan, and Akeava walked home together everyday from school. Then one day Trunks desided to let Akeava come in his house to meet his new brother and sister.
