Chapter Seven...Alone again...
Trunks stuck his hands in his pockets and stared at the gound as he walked. Akeava was quietly walking beside him. On the other side of Trunks was Gohan, also silent. Thoughts ran through their head about what happen. Some people could be so ignorent. Akeava saw nothing wrong at all with Trunk's or Gohans tail. Videl ran up beside them. She walked with the for a while before speaking.
"Gohan can I see your tail?" She said.
"Why?" He said quietly
"Because, I never seen one." She said. He floated it up to her. She studyed it carfully
"I don't know why they made such a big deal. I don't think there is anything wrong with your tails." She said.
"You don't?" Gohan said looking at her.
"No, as a matter of fact, I think they make you two look real cute, don't you think so Akeava?" She said smiling.
"Yeah they look ten times cuter showing their tail then when they hide it." She said. Trunks blushed, Gohan even turned red.
"Arigatou." Gohan said
"You don't have to thank me, its the truth." Videl said
Gohan now came to the point where he had to separate and leave his three friends. They said bye, and Gohan waved as he walked off. Soon it was Videl's turn to leave the group. Now it was only Trunks and Akeava walking together.
"Is is what you said true?" He said
"Is what true?" She asked
"When you agreed my tail was cute." He said
"No, I said your tail made you look cute there is a difference." She smilled
"Oh, just thought I would clear that up." He said blushing again
"Trunks when you were talking to that guy you said you were..half sai...something whats is that?" She said
"Saiya-jin. My father and Gohan's are full blooded saiya-jins. Which makes us half saiya-jin." He said
"So its a race of people?" She said
"Well sort of. Our two fathers are the only full saiya-jins left. And we are the only offspring left." He said
"Ohh..Is there a lot of stuff I don't know about you." She asked
"Lots." He ancered
"Really." She said Trunks turned to face her
"Have you ever wanted to fly?" He asked
"What do you mean fly, like in an airplane?" She said
"No, like really fly. To fly anywhere you wanted. Just get away from things?" He said
"More then you know." She said
"Then let me show you how. I hope you trust me" He said
"What do you me..." She was cut off by Trunks scooping her up. She freaked out when Trunks leaped into the sky with her and started to fly. She held as tight as her arms would permit her too. She was afrade at first, not wanting to look down. Trunks slowed to a hover. He smiled at her and she finally started to relize he wouldn't let anything happen to her.
"How...?" She studdered out
"I told you there is lots of stuff you don't know about me." He said
"I guess this tops finding out about you having a tail and not being full human." She smilled
"Maybe." He said
"How can you do this?" She said
"Its easy. You should try." He said
"I can't fly." She said
"Everyone could fly if they put their mind to it. When you put your mind to it, anything is possible." He said
"Your the only person I have ever seen fly, and your not even full human." She said
"So you think this is because I'm part saiya-jin?" He said
"Yeah." She said
"I know full humans that can fly." He said
"Really?" she said
"Yes. Gohan can fly too did you know that?" He said
"No. Will you show me how to fly." She asked
"Sure. Just remember, I am only teaching you how to fly. I wont let anything happen, I swear." He said
"Okay, so what do I do first?" She said
"Clear your mind. Consentrate on your power, then fly." He said. Trunks let her go and she started to fall. She started to scream.
"What am I suppose to do?!?" She sceamed to Trunks who was still hovering in the same spot.
"Fly!!!" He yelled back to her.
"I don't know how!!" She said. Trunk desided it was time to get her. He knew it would take a long time before she could fly. After all it took him a few trys to do it too. He caught her about ten feet from the ground. He landed and set her down. She was obviously glad to be on the ground. Trunks crossed his arms and smilled
"Don't smile! That wasn't funny!! If someone dropped you like that and you couldn't fly I don't think you would think it would be funny then would you?" She said
"Well the first couple of time was real scary, but after I got over the fear and knew that Gohan wouldn't let me hit the ground I started consentrating on flying instead." He said
"Gohan taught you how to fly like this?" She said
"Yeah when I was about six years old." He said
"You were six??" She said amazed
"Yeah, now wanna try again? Or don't you trust me?" He said
"Uhh...Okay." She said He picked her up and flew into the air again. Dropping her he watched as she tryed her best to consentrate on flying and not on falling. In the end Trunks rushed down and caught her a little more close to the ground then the first time.
"I tryed, I really did Trunks." She said
"I didn't expect you to do it this time eather. It took me four trys." He said
"Really? I bet it will take a lot more trys for me." She said
"Maybe maybe not." He said.
"Why do you say that?" She said
"I think you did well." He said
"You think so?" She said smiling.
"Yep, lets get you home." He said
They started to walk home again. Trunks rapped his tail around Akeava's hand in a maner of effection. She smilled to herself. They both felt very close to each other now. Suddenly something from behind grabbed Trunks and knocked him several yards away. Akeava screamed in fear he might be hurt, and seeing the strange monster that attacked them before right infront of her. Trunks got up as fast as he could. The monster through out tenticals twards Akeava.
"No you don't!!" He yelled sending a blast right at the limbs that were about to reach her.
The burned off and the monster swiched his atention to Trunks. His power increased and the monster shot his energy sucking limbs at Trunks, one after another. He couldn't dodge them forever. The more Trunk raised his power to dodge them the more the monster would attack with. Trunks finally got an idea. He lower his power as far as he could almost to nothing. The monster pulled back and seamed to lose interest in him. Trunks crosses his arms. This was strange, only attacking high energy. Tht was how Trunks was found. When he flew he had to raise his power, and the monster senced it and followed it here. It would be twice as hard to hurt the thing. If he attacked it, it would counter feeling the energy. Just then Gohan showed up. The monster flashed a glance sencing the power
"Hey is that slimy think causing trouble again?" He said Trunks saw the monster getting ready to attack
"Gohan lower your power quick!!!" He yelled
"Huh? Why?" He asked, it was too later the monster would get to him before he could get it low enough. Trunks had to do something. He quickly turned super saiya-jin and his power increased dramaticly. The monster swich and attacked him instead. He dodged but the monster sent out so many lims at him no matter what he did he could keep away from them. They finally caught up with him ataching them selves to his shoulder and neck. Trunks tryed to free himself but it was no use. The energy started to drain quickly from him. Gohan ran at the monster to free his friend but he was kocked away. The monster started to grow with the power it got from the young saiya-jin. Trunks screamed as his hair dropped back to normal and his eye turned back to blue. The monster was hit suddenly with a blast. Trunk was tossed by the monster into the ground. He slid to a stop. Gohan dropped his power having completed his mission of freeing Trunks. Akeava ran to see if Trunks was okay. The monster Started to grow more. He grew twice his size and aimed right for Gohan. Trunks who was not fully drianed of power lifted his head up. Trunks relized that the monster was not looking for power any more he was looking for blood. Trunks struggled to get up. It was too late the monster flew suddenly at Gohan who couldn't get out of the way in time. It's arms turn into spikes and the monster landed on Gohan digging them into the back of his head. Gohan franticly pulled at the jagged spike digging deap into him.
Trunks found the power to get up. He ran over to the monster and tryed to free Gohan. He was only knocked away. Trunks stood up and screamed. He increased his power dispite his earlyer power drainage fromt he thing. His power grew even more. Soon his eyes were once again green and his hair was a spiked up golden. He kept increasing still. His hair grew longer sticking even higher into the air all twisted and spiked. His ki burned around him like never before. The monster dropped Gohan to the ground. Trunks flew at the monster slashing punches at it. He fought as hard as he could to keep the monster from grabbing him. Dodging what must have been thousands of power draining arms. Trunks readyed the bigest ki blast he could and shot it at the thing. It exploded and blew a crater in the ground. Trunk's power which was exsausted from raising so high after being drianed away earlyer, droped down and returned to normal.
He crawled over to Gohan. Akeava came over carfully to sit by them. Trunks covered the back of Gohan's head with his hand to stop the two holes from bleeding. If it would have been a minute longer that the monster had Gohan, it would have drained him completely. Goku and Vegiita showed up a little late, but they were there at least. And then Piccolo arived. He was shocked to see Gohan drained of power laying on the ground.
"What did this?" Goku said kneeling next to his son.
"It was that thing...The one that attacked me. It got bigger and stronger." Trunks said
"Where did it go?" Vegiita said
"It flew off in that direction after I made it let go of Gohan." Trunks said pointing
"We have to stop it." Goku said.
"It can sence ki, thats how it found me." Trunks said
"Lets go." Vegiita said flying off to where Trunks had pointed. Goku and Piccolo followed. Trunks turned to Akeava.
"Will you stay with Gohan for me? He will be okay, he just needs some time to get his energy back." Trunks said
"Where are you going?" She said
"I'm gonna help them." He said getting up.
"No, don't what if that thing gets you, I don't want you to get hurt, or.." She was cut off
"Don't worry, okay. I have been in more hopeless situations." He said She didn't seem to be convinced completely.
"Look..." He said sitting down by her. "I will be okay no matter what, I swear. And when I get back, I will finish showing you how to fly." He said smiling.
"Okay. There is just this feeling in me that I might not see you again." She said
"Have a little more faith in me." He said
"Hai Trunks. And also, maybe when you get back you can explain your sudden change of hair color I just seen." She said smilling back now.
"Sure thing." He said giving a small laugh. She put her arms around him on impulse. He got up and flew off. She watched until she couldn't see him anymore. She through her hand up as to reach for him but he was gone.
"I love you...." She wispered wishing he would have heard it.
Trunks caught up with everyone soon. They had all landed and were stairing face to face with the monster. All of the ki levels were dropped as low as they could get them. Everyone was trying to think of a way to kill it. They knew if you got your power up enough to kill it, the thing would attack not giving enough time to do any damage to it. Piccolo was ready. he wanted the thing to die for what it did to Gohan. He attacked, and as planned the monster doubled its efforts to try and drain his power. Piccolo through off his cape and did battle. He was doing real good until one of the limbs grabbed his foot and pulled him to the ground. They started rapping them selve around and began to drain him. Trunks saw his oportunity. He rose his power as fast as he could, every second counted. His hair turned golden and eyes green. He flew grabbing the monster's life sucking arms and pulling them away from Piccolo. He flew around rapping them around the monster's head and neck. He started choking it. The monster tryed pulling them away but Trunk's hold was too strong. The creature sent more limbs to grab Trunks. It tossed him away. Trunks lossed his grip and crashed to the ground. Goku desided to attack now. Piccolo aided him. They double teamed the monster, almost over welming it. Goku was knocked away now, and Piccolo was sent hurtleing to the ground. Vegiita took their place and attacked now. He punched and dogded and kicked but was defeated too.
Mean while Akeava sat next to Gohan, who was gaining his power back. He slowly opened his eyes and blincked them a few times until his vision was normal. He glanced at Akeava. She smilled at him. Trunks was right, he just needed time to gain his power back.
"How are you feeling?" She said softly
"Sore. What happen?" He said
"I don't really know, Trunks blew the thing up and your fathers and some other guy with a cape showed up and they went to look for the thing because its still alive." She said
"Some other guy?" He said
"Yeah, I've never seen him before, he was green." She said
"Piccolo-san." Gohan said trying to sit up.
"What are you doing, you shouldn't get up." She said
"I have to go help them." He said
"No, I'm sure they will be okay, you'r too weak right now. Just rest." She said holding his arm. She was right he probly couldn't get up, let alone help them. Gohan rested again. What ever was going on he knew he couldn't do anything. He could feel everyone's ki. Gohan desided he could keep track of the fight in his head. For a long time he consentrated, feeling the power levels. He soon relized Akeava was trying to talk to him.
"Gohan? I asked if they were still fighting, I know you can tell." She said
"Yeah, they are still fighting. There isn't really...." Gohan stop in the middle of his sentance.
"Isn't what?" She said
"No..." Gohan said. He felt a sudden energy drop. It fell to nothing then was gone.
"Gohan what the matter?" She said. Gohan's power incressed
"NO!!!!!!!!" He sceamed. His power fulled his body suddenly. Akeava watched as he rose to his feet and his power shot through the roof, he stopped just sortly before turning super saiya-jin. Gohan sunk to his feet. Tears welt up in his eyes.
"No...Piccolo-san, no...." He said quietly
"What happen?" She said worrieing
"Piccolo-san......is dead. He is the one who trained me." Gohan said
Piccolo's body lay lifeless on the ground. The monster had caught him off gard sucking every bit of power from his body. Gokus power started rasing very fast. Trunk slowly got up, he had been knocked away when he tryed to help Piccolo. He powered up his ki. His eyes now green and hail gold. His power got even larger. Soon his hair grew more then normal and he turned super saiya-jin two. Goku's ki was also raising very fast. He turned super saiya-jin, the he advanced and turned super saiya-jin two for the first time. His ki exploding and hair growing a little longer. Trunks and Goku attack at the same time. Vegiita watched as his son and his former foe tryed to take down the creature. He new that they had both surpassed super saiya-jin, just like Goku's son did in the encounter with Juunana and Juuhachi. He got mad. Now everyone was stronger then him, even his own son.
Gohan was silent. His teacher was dead. He felt as if it was his fault. He should have been there. He could have done something if he was there. He could have stopped it. But what happen was done. There was nothing he could have done even if he would have been the. The outcome would have been the same. Akeava studyed Gohan as he sat there.
"I'm sorry Gohan." She said
"Piccolo-san....di suki...." Gohan said more to him self then anyone.
With the newly gained energy from Piccolo the monster started growing. Goku and Trunk's efforts to kill it failed. It looked like the monster was sealing its self up in some kind of cocoon. The creature grabbed Trunks and pulled him into the cocoon with it. Trunk fought to get out. The cocoon sealed and he was trapped. Trunks could barly move inside the tight space. Then it started to drain power from him, in which it used to shoot its self into the air. Vegiita took off after it in hopes to stop it. Soon the air got thin and he could follow anymore. The rocket shaped cocoon kept going as it hit space and he was gone.
Gohan's face hardend. He couldn't sence Trunks anymore. It was like he disapeared. Gohan would not even think that Trunks could be dead. It wasn't a choise to him. He searched even harder. In yet he couldn't find his power anywhere. Akeava knew something else was wrong. She watched as Gohan got up again. She stood also hoping he would reasure her that everything would be okay, and Trunks was alright.
"Gohan?" She said
"Hes gone." HE said
"What...do you mean?" She said
"I can't sence him anymore." He said
"Is he...is he dead?" She said fearing the worst.
"I...dont know, I wish I could say." He said.
She was in tears, He said everything would be alright. He must be okay, he has to be okay. He can't leave me, not now. I just now figured out I love him. He still has to teach me to fly. She thought. Gohan knew she was taking it real hard. He also knew they had grew close with out noticing it with in the time they spent together. He put his arm around her to comfort her.
"It will be okay, I'm sure he is fine where ever he is." He said Goku was soon there.
"Are you okay now?" He asked his son
"Yeah...Piccolo-san is...?" He couldn't finish Goku nodded silently
"What happen to Trunks?" Gohan asked
"I don't know. Hes gone." Goku said. Akeava started to think her feeling was right and that she would never see Trunks again. Gohan took her home.
"Akeava...." He said before she walked in her house
"Hai?" She said quietly
"If he is alive...he will find a way back. I know he will." He said
"If he is alive..." She said turning away and shuting the door behind her.
Three days later....The coccon landed on a far off planet. Trunks was exstracked from the odd looking space ship. He was uncontious but alive. The worker creatures brought him into a small room where they did a strange oporation. They then took him into a very long hall way where there was lots of cell that were hold more prisoners. They through him in and locked the bars to hold him there. After a while he woke up slowly. He looked around wondering where he was. Then feeling some thing around his neck he got up. He walked over to the steel bars. Where am I? What is this thing around my neck? It was some kind of collar. He felt his head. Right where his temples were the was another odd thing. there were two more on the back of his neck. They were sore and when he touched them it stung.
"They are...plug ins, if you will." A voice said Trunks turned to where the voice was coming from.
"Who are you?" He said defenceivly
"A prisoner...just like you are now." He said
"A prisoner?" He said dropping defence
"Yes." The person said. Trunks walked over to the bars. He wasn't gonna be any prisoner.
"I wouldn't try getting away it wont work." He said
"Why not? No stupid bars are gonna keep me here." He said to the stange man sitting in the cell next to him.
"I know your strong, I can tell. The thing around your neck cuts your power down. You wont be strong enough." He said
"Maybe I'm not strong enough at the moment." Trunks said He knew how low his power was and how high it should be. But if he went super saoya-jin he could break out.
"So tell me, if I ever did get out where do you think I could go from here?" He said
"Well some of the people that come here try getting to the pod room where all the space ships are. Everyone who has got there have not returned and have not made it off this planet I should warn you." The man said.
"Your very hopeful, tell me are you always this pesimistic?" Trunk said
"Yeah, I try." The guy laughed.
"Whats your name?" He said to the man
"My name is Cothree, but you my friend can call me Cothie." He said
"I'm Trunks." He said
"Nice to meet you." Cothie said
"Same here." Trunks said
"So where are you from?" Cothie said
"Earth...and I do plan to return soon. Now lets see how strong thease bars are." Trunks said
"Your nuts, you can't be strong enough to get out." He said
"Thats what you think." Trunks said
Trunks started to rase his ki. Cothree watched in amazement. Trunks soon changed his hair to gold and his eyes green. It was exseptionally harder to reach super saiya-jin but when he was finished he broke the bars with ease. The Cothie's jaw hung open as he watch Trunks take off out the door that was locked until Trunk blew it open. He ran as fast as he could trying to find the room with the ships in it like Cothree said. Cothree sat back down in the cell. Wow, he is much stronger then I thought. He might be the only one to ever make it out of here. Eather that or they will kill him. He thought.
Trunks flew down the many hall ways look for what ever he could to get off the planet. Suddenly something tripped him from behind. Trunks pushed himself off the ground and continued to flee but what ever tripped him caught him and pulled him back. Trunks struggled to get away which didn't work. It pulled him up and the started to drag him away. He was brought into a room where a few more of the strange looking creatures formed a circle around him. They stunk a needle into the band around his neck. He was fighting with all his might to get away but they would not let him exscape. They adjusted the band and it was now stronger. Cutting his powere more then half. They realized he was stronger then what they thought mostly because he could some how change. So they turned up the power on the machine atached to his neck. He soon found him self back in the same chamber next to Cothree.
"So they spared you huh?" He said
"Yeah...maybe they like me." He said to Cothie
"Maybe, usually the first time someone trys to exscape they are killed." Cothie said
Trunks was feeling too weak to exscape again. The thing around his neck was tight and cutting off so much power to him he could bearly stand. So he layed on the ground, inside the cell. He knew what ever he had to do to get out, he would do. He would not be a prisoner in there. But for now his body was to weak to move.. He was now alone again. A prisoner of the evil that was present. His last thoughts before he fell asleep were wondering if he would ever see his mother, or his father, or Gohan... but most of all of Akeava. Thease thoughts made him even more lonly....
