Haleypop presents:
The Female of the Species

This was the night Crichton had waited been waiting for since his first day on Moya. The anticipation of that first time was overwhelming. Suddenly, here he was, laying in bed, Aeryn’s bed, propping his head with a pillow to gaze at his lady love as she approached. Aeryn fell into his arms and melted into his passionate embrace.

Crichton could wait no longer. Reaching under the blanket he frantically tore off his trousers, kicking them to the floor.

Aeryn disrobed with equal urgency. “John. I want you.”

Crichton hoisted the blanket to assume his position, and gasped in horror, “Aeryn! You said you were a female of your species!”

Appraising Crichton, Aeryn mirrored his surprise, “I am!”

“But you, . . you have . . you have a . . . ”

“Well, so do you!”

“But I’m a guy!”

“And I’m Sebacean! A Sebacean female.”

Crichton gathered his clothing an ran out of Aeryn’s quarters without a word. Aeryn lie in bed, staring at the ceiling.
Move Over, Rosemary

As if the silent treatment wasn't painful enough, Crichton had to suffer through Aeryn's pregnancy by Talyn-John.  The normal Sebacean gestation period was very short and Crichton had precious little time to prepare for the blessed event.

November 15, 2002:  Jool scurried D'Argo, Chiana and Crichton out of the medical rejuvenation bay when Aeryn went into labor.  The three paced impatiently about the hallway just outside the door listening to the groans and screams from within.

"Everything OK in there?"  Ask Crichton.

"Shut up and leave us alone."  replied Jool.

After several arns passed,  Jool came out with a blank stare.

"How's Aeryn?" asked Chiana.

"She's fine."

"How is, um, how is the baby?"  asked D'Argo.

"Babies,"  answered Jool, "Aeryn had twins."

Crichton, D'Argo and Chiana pushed passed Jool, finding Aeryn asleep on the table.  In the two baskets next to her, came the whimpering of the newborns.    Crichton raced to the first basket.  His faced turned white as he exclaimed, "Oh my god!  It-it looks like a little . . .

"Kaarvok."

Chiana approached the next basked, and smiled.  "This one looks normal enough.  He looks like you, Crichton."

The three watched the infant as he slept.  Crichton's eyes grew dewy,   "He's got mom's chin."

Jool returned and marshaled everyone out of the room, "All right.  Time's up.  Everybody out.  Aeryn needs her rest."

As they headed for the door, there came a familiar voice from behind,  "Crichton!"

Crichton turned and saw the human child sitting up and smiling at him, "What the . . "

"Good to see you again, John.  You didn't think our business was finished yet, did you?  Now, John, I regret to inform you that I am experiencing, shall we say, a few obstacles to the wormhole calculations you graciously provided me.  Why don't you stay so we can discuss a few modifications to our - arrangement.  You can set me on your knee and we can get reacquainted."
