Ah, so I haven't updated this in a while. First, I was gone on a big trip, and then I get back and recieve some news that I've been reluctant to tell everyone. The euphoric that everyone has come to know and love has sadly been put to rest. This isn't like those other times though, this is beyond our control. I don't want to put any blame upon anybody, but it happend after some things were said and some things were discovered by a person that shall remain nameless. These things got someone in trouble and now the band can't really make music together anymore. It's all a big mess, and certainly could have been avoided, but it happened so we are dealing with this. I found out about this two weeks ago, and I apologize for letting it go unsaid. I just couldn't bring myself to tell people. Well, I don't even think anybody will read this, people probably abandoned this website after never seeing it updated for three weeks. Sorry. We've been telling some people in person, that's the way to go.
Oh yeah, but think about it this way, Dylan is leaving to Mexico to live with his girlfriend in October, so the band was going to end sometime. However, you never know what kind of new adventures will come out of this mess *wink wink*. Of course, I don't know for sure, but I feel something great will come. Please don't lose hope in us, and especially don't lose your compassion to us. We all thank you so much for being there with us while we happily played our music for you. I realize maybe two people will read this, so to those two: you certainly are great people. Thank you.
I know I don't update often, but I feel I need to keep updated on some new situations, so whenever something happens, I'll post it here. Or just send out an email. Alright, have a nice day.

Alright, so I am at Luke's house right now with the band minus Dylan as he is at work right now. The show is tonight; we are hard at work practicing. But not really. Anyway, I don't know if you've heard about this or not, but there is some confusion about tonight's show. Bad Ass Coffee has mistakenly booked two different shows on the same night, tonight. Turned Up Missing and Our Fallen Ashes have been scheduled to play tonight, but according to the Bad Ass calendar, our band and Choia are signed up to play. So, they told us that we have priority over the other bands. If you were listening to 97.1 FM last night at about 8:15pm, I called in and talked to Cricket. I explained to her about this debacle; she couldn't care less. Twenty minutes later she announced the show for Bad Ass tonight, not euphoric and Choia, but Turned up Missing and Our Fallen Ashes. Who knows what will go down tonight; maybe a brawl in the parking lot, that could be violent and crazy. Things are crazy, eh. I suppose now many other fans will attend the show, but they will leave five minutes later, after we are not punk rock enough for them. OK, sorry to be so judgemental, so, OK, some of them could like us. And I would welcome the idea of all four bands playing, however, as we are starting at 7:30, we would only play for like 30 minutes each, and gall darnnit that's just not enough time to really expunge our music. Dig? So, please come to the show, and maybe get ready to help us fight for our right to party, so show up early. No, not really, things will be peaceful. But show up early anyway, if you read this before the show that is.
In other news, the teachers are on strike, purple monkey dishwasher.
More reading suggestions: more Kurt Vonnegut. Have you taken my earlier advice? Actually more suggestions are Walden by Henry David Thoreau, Art & Physics by Leonard Shlain, "The Mysterious Stranger" by Mark Twain, The Mayan Factor: Path Beyond Technology by Jose Argüelles, and A Brief History in Time by Dr. Stephen Hawking. Enjoy!

Hello, everybody. Thank you for coming to our concert last Friday, you made it a wonderful experience. And thank you to the dancers; David and the guy in the orange shirt, you guys are the best. How is everyone doing? Great? That's good. I hope you people are up to seeing our band perform once again, because this Saturday we are playing at Bad Ass again. This time we are playing with Medford's greatest band, Choya. If you have not heard them, you shall be amazed. They won the North Medford High School battle of the bands, if that means anything. Their talent and unique sound is like a polished gem sitting on a sandy beach. So, if you're sick of euphoric's music, come to this show anyway; Choya will kick it up a knotch. BAM!
OK, you get the picture. I promise our show won't be anything like our last one. We've got some good new things in the ol' think tank. Maybe we've got a new drummer, maybe we only play ambient music now, maybe I've switched from guitar to kazoo, maybe our shows is accompanied by laser lights and giant inflatable clowns that spray chicken blood out of their eyes while our band dances around naked making animal noises. Anything could happen.
Hey, if you've got some time for some good ol' summer reading, I highly suggest the author by the name of Kurt Vonnegut. Just pick any book, you can't go wrong. The Sirens of Titan and Cat's Cradle are definite great ones. Join the Vonnegut club.

Ah, what a wondrously fantastical Sunday. Phish completely surrounded me today, it was beautiful. What's that? You haven't listened to Phish before? Well, if you would like to be a part of the greatest, most groovinist, most magical, loving musical experience; please listen to some Phish. It doesn't matter what album or live show, just listen. OK, sorry about that. It's just this trip to Vermont to see Phish's final concert/festival is really getting to me.
On with the euphoric news... We have schedualed a concert at Bad Ass Coffee for July 30. After all this time and we only have one show; yes, that's true. We're just a little slow, eh. I have a great feeling for this one though, please come and experience it. It should be as good or better than the sunset tonight, with all it's fiery pink glory. We will strive to put the visual energy into a much more audible form; well, at least I will try to do that. I might have been the only one to see the sunset. Things have certainly been changing over these past few months. Things are progressing towards a much greater thing. What is that thing? I don't know, but we'll see it a few years. Just try to stay as happy as possible, and you should hopefully awaken to whatever this thing is.
I just want to say that friends are a great thing to have. Thank you to all of my/our friends out there for being the ebullient people that you are. Hey, David, you are the greatest.

For the past three hours I have been working on this website. I took a break to cook a nice zucchini and rice dinner, but other than that I have been working on it. When my computer wasn't messing up, that is. Anyway, I worked hard. It may not look like it, but it takes a while putting some pictures up. Ah, Luke just showed up to eat some of the dinner I cooked; I sure hope he likes it. OK, here is some real euphoric news: we are currantly working on getting us another concert to play. We are diligently calling around town and Ashland to see if we can play anywhere. As of right now, we've got some leway on Musichead, Bad Ass Coffee, Guitar Center, and the Bear Creek Amphitheater. Wouldn't it be great if we could play at all those places? Well, if those don't work out we will just put on something of our own. Such as in Ty's backyard or how about just in the basement. And then we're also thinking of some random acoustic jams at parks around town, that would be ever so great. Well, we've just got lots of ideas floating around the spaces between us, and whatever results shall certainly come from the underlying ocean of music that we all are swimming in.
Positivity.

Alright, here is my monthly update. Hopefully this summer it will be more than monthly, but anyway, I put up some good stuff for viewing. I have updated the Live section, and you can read all about our show that took place on the 12th. That show was very fun to play, I just wish more people would have showed up. I was a little disappointed, but it's alright. We made some great new friends, and I am very thankful. And thank you Katy and Ray for the cupcakes, you made a lot of people happy. It was ever so fun to play our new songs; some folks say that they sound better than our old stuff. Maybe this is true. Ya know, I sure hope somebody actually visits this website, I really do feel like I'm talking to myself. OK, continueing with the updates... I added some new pictures to the gallery. I haven't added any pictures since June of last year. The sad thing is that I only had eight more pictures to add; I guess I haven't had my camera around at any band gatherings this past year. I will actually be putting up even more in about a week because Luke has some great photos of our concert we just played. Please go and look at the pretty pictures, you will be a better person for doing so. And remember, stars are pretty and clouds are, too.

I seem to be getting a little behind on this darn website. I've got some great news here though, euphoric shall be playing a show very soon. On June 12, 2004, we are going to be participating in a student run concert series in Alba Park, downtown Medford. I believe 4 or 5 other bands will be playing as well, including a band that played on Warped Tour; not exactly our style but cool nonetheless. Ya dig? The concert starts at 6:30pm, and if anybody should read this posting, you should all go see these bands play. What is even better is that we will play this concert in Alba Park one more time on July 10, 2004. Isn't it wonderful? No? OK, you are probably right, however, it is somewhat remarkable for us to play another show. Frankly, we haven't been practicing all that much as of late. You needn't worry about our music playing quality though, it's always top notch...

April 20, 2004 |
OK, it is fairly pointless to post this for most people already know and it is old news. However, it must be documented that euphoric will not be playing the battle of the bands on the count of the NHMS admistration's lack of kindness towards its fellow students, namely me, Luke, and Matt. Playing this show would make us all ever so happy, all they have to do is say, "OK, we'll let you play just this once." Easy as that. What are we harming? Where is the compassion? I suppose they have none; that's too bad. We will carry on and we are making plans for a show of our own, possibly directly following the battle of the bands. I hope that goes through. I'm really thankful that we have support and love, and as long as people care about us things will always be good.

March 25, 2004 |
Sorry about the lack of updates around here, but, frankly, there has not been much happening within the band. Well, for a while there wasn't even a band anymore. That is changed. On the count that it is spring time and very beautiful outside, euphoric has begun anew. We have actually written a new song as well, it just flowed right out of us. And we will be playing the ol' Battle of the Bands at North Medford High School on the 14th of May, so that shall be great. It is going to be a good "battle" this year. Music these days seems to be pulsating through many people, 'tis quite arousing. Yeah, so be aware of the beauty of music.

December 17, 2003 |
OK, the site is being updated once again. It's exciting. Somewhat... Well, I wanted to tell the three people that will read this that the band will be getting back together, but not until the beginning of January. Luke is in Germany right now, so now's not a good time to get together. And I realize that this is stupid to post on here because the people that will read this are people who already know of this fact. Anyway, come January the members of euphoric will join together to battle our music starvations and what will come of it will be a recalcitrant harmonious feast sprinkled with the tears of an effusive purple storm cloud which evaporated from a sea of music.

Hey, look everybody! The site has been updated! That's right, Dylan and possibly Taylor, I've put up all the correct lyrics and I'm now writing this news. That's all though. Maybe more will come in time, but really I have nothing more to put on right now. Of course, I could attempt to tab out our songs for you, Taylor, but then again I might not. I wish this band never ended...

Some sad news came about recently. Dylan has decided to leave the band. We're not exactly sure at the moment of what is going to happen as a result of this. It's possible we will continue just the four of us, but who knows. I'll leave you with some tidbits from Dylan's letter:
|
"Hey guys, it's Dylan. I'm writing you to tell you that I'm leaving the band. There are a lot of reasons, and most of them have to do with me. For one, I think you guys are very talented, and a lot of times I feel like a hindrance to the progress of the band...I love euphoric so much, and that is half the reason I am quitting. I still fully support the band...My lyrics and singing mean so much to me. When I wrote for euphoric, I put my entire being into it. I think it would be unwise to keep on pouring myself into something so uncertain...Being part of euphoric was an experience I will always cherish...Seriously, I love you all very much. Your past singer and present friend,
-Dylan Skye Kennedy

Well, pretty much all the information I had about that show was incorrect, so disregard that last posting. This show is actually at the Phoenix Highschool football team's coach's house here in Medford. We're going to be playing for the football team party for a couple hours, and I'm not sure if anyone can really show up there. I don't think we can just bring a bunch of our friends. But anyway...

September 2, 2003 |
It seems as though school is back in session and I see no end in sight. Hopefully this won't be a hinderance to the band. Euphoric is still going strong, being that we have a show to play on Thursday. It's in Phoenix and I don't really have much information about it. That doesn't really matter because not too many people will be reading this in the next two days anyway. Well, hope you're there!

Ty is leaving today, or tomorrow, I'm not exactly sure. So our band will be taking an even longer break. We've only played together once since August 10, and that was last night. We'll be together very soon though hopefully. That show on the 6th is not happening for us, and we were going to play at the North Medford HS band party, our one year anniversity of our first show, but that's scratched too. Damn you Ty. Not really though, I love you.
Check out this kooky wallpaper I just completed no more than 5 minutes ago. It's kinda ridiculous looking actually. 800X600 - 1024X768

August 13, 2003 |
We have just completed our six song demo CD, which is unnamed as of yet. I've put up some information about it in the Music section. We're going to put labels on the CDs so I'll put a picture of that up too. I think the disc sounds really quite amazing, we're not used to hearing our music like that. If you like how we sound live, then you'll like this CD, maybe even more. And hopefully we'll maybe put some mp3's up on here.
I believe we're going to be playing another show on September 6th at Musichead. I really don't know much about it right now, Ty is the one getting all this information.

I've got some quite unimportant news for you. It's actually not really news, but I think you should know, I made a euphoric desktop wallpaper yesterday, as well as one just now, and I'd like for people to use it. Click on the size you want: No. 1 - 800X600 - 1024X768 No. 2 - 800X600 - 1024X768
