Charter Information

As Delta Sigma Theta became incorporated throughout the United States, women were eager to join such an esteemed organization. After 7 years of influence, respect within the community, and stepping outside of the social bounds of a sorority, Zeta chapter was chartered. Soror Edwina Woodyard of Beta Chapter helped to establish the Zeta chapter at the University of Cincinnati. Zeta chapter was chartered with a distinguished group of both graduate (G) and undergraduate (U) women. These women lead the way to African American greeks on the University’s campus. The Zeta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta was the first African American greek organization chartered at the University of Cincinnati.

Chapter Directives

We do our utmost to make changes, increase awareness, and enhance the experience students, professors, and community residents have at the University of Cincinnati. We dedicate our time, skills, and resources to reaching out to the community. We develop initiatives and procedures that we follow. In all the course of action that we take we make sure that we adhere to the principles set out by the Grand chapter and the legacy left to us in Zeta chapter.
