| The Diablo Allstars are over a year old now. In that short time, we have achieved a lot, seen a lot, learned a lot and had a lot done to us..... But we're growing. Last year was a "bumper" year. We now have a solid base of around ten players which the americans will add to when they (you, hiya there folks) come along to this fine, very concretey, university. Let me not bore you, here's where we've been. |

| Edinburgh 99. Who could ever forget it. Four brave men set off on the ferry with only a backpack each, a few frisbees and two crates of beer to keep them alive. The result was playing excellent indoor ultimate while still plastered on the saturday morning. Whooping everybodys sorry asses then getting kicked out for cheating. IT WAS ONLY A STUPID LITTLE RULE!!!! granted we did have three experienced players when you're only allowed one......... | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Next up was the Dublin Tournment, we couldn't quite consume the same amount of cans on the way to this one but it was still good. We lost all three games on the first day but played really wellagainst the eventual winners Foreign tongue. The second day was more successful, being supremely victoriuos in all our games! We ended up winning the plate despite half of the team being made up by those oranges from trinity!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Six of our very own Diablos went to the World Ultimate Frisbee Championships in Heilbronn, Germany last August. Of those, two started playing Ultimate in October 99, one in January 2000 and two in March 2000!! It was without a doubt the best tournament any of us has ever played in. If not for the excellent standard of Ultimate and superb spirit then for the 20p a can beer and pitchside beergardens! The European Championships are in the Czech Republic in August, 2001 and we hope to send even more Diablos this time. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
