1. Installation

1.1 Downloading
- Before downloading, be sure to check the system requirements on the uDesktop download page
- You can download uDesktop from either the uDesktop download page, or www.download.com

1.2. Installing
- Open the uDesktop auto setup file by double clicking it.
- Click through all the install pages only changing options if you know what you are doing.
- While it is installing, the Windows Desktop Preferences window will open. Click the OK button to close it. Do not press cancel or the X.
- Click finish. If uDesktop does not show up on your desktop, log out and in again.

1.3. Starting
- uDesktop should start up automatically and be present on your desktop always.
- If uDesktop does not start up, you can choose it as your desktop background the same way you would choose any other wallpaper.

1.4. Updating uDesktop
- You can check for new versions under the Help tab in uDesktop. Download the new version and run the installation file.
- You may need to log out and in again to see the updated version of uDesktop.

1.5. Uninstalling uDesktop
- Go to Start Menu -> Programs -> uDesktop -> Uninstall uDesktop
- uDesktop will not show up on your desktop the next time you log in.
- To clear uDesktop off your desktop right away, simply choose a different wallpaper in your Windows preferences.


2. Navigation

2.1. Opening uDesktop
- Click the big "O" button to the right of the main links menu at the top center of your desktop. It will then change into an "X" button.
- uDesktop will appear just below the menu on your desktop as a blue window with tabs at the top of the window.

2.2. Closing uDesktop
- To close uDesktop, either click the "X" at the top left of the uDesktop window, or click the "X" button to the right of the maun links menu (the one that was an "O" when you opened uDesktop).

2.3. Using Tabs
- There are several tabs at the top of the uDesktop window. Click these to use a certain part of uDestop. For example, click the Wallpaper tab to set your wallpaper preferences and add pictures to your wallpaper list.


3. uDesktop Main Menu

3.1. Launching shortcut links
- The main link drop-down menu is always visible at the top center of your desktop. Beside it is the uDesktop main window toggle button.
- Click the link menu to show a list of all available links. Learn how to add links to this menu in the 'Links Tab' section.
- Launch a link by clicking on it.

3.2. Toggling the uDesktop window
- The button next to the main links menu can toggle uDesktop open and closed. When it is an "O", press to open uDesktop. When it is an "X", press to close uDesktop.
