You may think what the point of listening to Japanese song when you don't even understand the content. I learnt the lyrics, yet at the same time, playing the songs and even surfing for translation. I am crazy to that extent. :D
I love R&B. Most of her songs are in R&B. So in that sense, I feel a real connection to her music. The way Hikki sings her song, the way she brought it out to her fans is totally different from all other singers. Her low and resonant vocal attracted me. I still remember on one occasion, Gigi leung was invited to host for a radio channel and she introduced utada's debut album's track "First Love". At that moment, I still wasn't that crazy about hikki perhaps she's still new to me.
There are few other occasions. That's when i get real contact with her songs. Once I was eating in a Sushi restaurant at HMV Heeran, they were playing her songs. I enjoyed the sushi and music very much. The second time, I saw her "Wait and See" MTV on TV, host by Jamie Tan in "THE TUBE". Wow, the mtv is awesome. It was the best MTV that I have ever seen.
During my school vacation in May 2001, for a period of months I was jobless, I decided to do a website on her to kill my time. I even apply the skills which I learn in High School. And improved my web as soon as I learnt some web related application in my college. Due to my busy scehdule at work and school, this is perhaps my last web layout i did for her.
