Clan History
The clan was founded on a rainy afternoon in September 2000. 19 September to be exact. The clanname back then was SME: Spelers Met Eer. En all members were belgian or dutch. After 4 months, we went international. Alot of the international members didn't like the dutch name, because they didn't understand it. And after a while, the american members started to complain. I had to take a hard decision about the future of the clan. And after a few weeks thinking about it, the decision was there. All american members were booted, eventhough they were nice guys. The name was changed into KoTR: Knigths of The Realm. And from now on, the majority of the members had to be european.
The clan went smooth for the next year. The intrest in DM diminished, but we made a smooth transfer to RM. After a while, we only played RM. At the start we sucked at it, but after a while we became decent at it. We were one of the 10 RM clans to start the RTS League. After 5 seasons, the clan moved into AOM. Not a smart move. AOM wasn't as intresting as AoC it seemed, and the clan fell slowly apart. The members stayed in contact with eachother, but didn't play together as a clan anymore.
A few moved to other AOM clans, others started Hattrick. But 2 members stayed loyal to KoTR in AoC DM: Trash and I2aven. They kept the clan alive for the time between our move to AOM and December 5 2003. I came back then. I asked permission fro mTrash and I2aven to be the leader again, and they agreed. I2aven, Trash my brother and me will try to reinstate KoTR to what we were: a band of friends, wherein the key word has always been having a good time.
