The University of Kentucky Block & Bridle Club partnered up with the Livestock Judging Team and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture at the 2005 Kentucky Beef Expo. There we assisted in running the Livestock Judging Contest. This contest had over 300 participants and was received greatly by the youth participating in it. The clubs main commitment of the weekend was for the Jr. Heifer and Steer show. The day preceding the show we organized and checked in over 600 steers and heifers. During the contest we served as ring man, and helped organize each class.

Kentucky Beef Expo Organizers commented that this was the smoothest the show was ever run and we were promptly asked to return again the next year, which we gladly did in 2006. This experience allowed the club to gain a lot of exposure with the youth of the state by creating an image that we are an active club and that one day these youth can join and be a part of a fun, exciting, and well organized club that is Block & Bridle.
