| A completed artwork, which had been dedicated in Ireland, was placed at the site of Stari Most, Mostar, in Bosnia Hercegovina. It represented connections between people and communities and was an exhortation to those in authority to speed up the reconstruction of Stari Most. The work featured signed star shapes from 2,834 Irish school children, and a school in Mostar. 5000 stars went to make the work, which was put in a frame by Mostaran colleagues, in the dimensions of Stari Most. At night the stars twinkled under the moon light and in the street lighting , and the artwork shone in sunlight. The artwork resembling a ghost of Stari Most. When attached to the present walking bridge at the site of Stari Most, it stood at 100 feet across and approximately 60 feet depth. The work was supported by, John Hunt who traveled with me and by The Arts Council, amongst other contributors. TV in Mostar made reference to the work and photographs made in Mostar during journeys there over the years, put on display during the event. | |||||||||
