| A preliminary placement at the site of Stari Most, Mostar, of the Star Bridge artwork took place as part of building connections with Mostar. A bridge between the two framing buttresses of Stari Most, which itself was about to be taken down before June, to allow the building of a new walking bridge, was what we attached the artwork to. The appropriate authorities were informed. Presentations were made, from The Mayor and Corporation of Limerick and Limerick Civic Trust, by us, to The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Mostar. Work was assisted by The Office of the High Representative in Mostar. Mr Tony Foley, who was acting High Representative during the week gave essential support to the undertaking, as he did also in September 1998. The Cultural Relations Committee of the Foreign Affairs Department gave support, as did other contributors. TV in Mostar featured the visit and work, on broadcasts before and after the visit. | |||||||||
