| This project was developed, by myself, Principal School Teacher Eileen Kennelly and Playwright Mike Finn. 9 schools throughout the region, involving 2,834 children and the children from a Mostar based school, participated. Irish Children were involved in a programme of dramatic role play and games that led them to an understanding of the loss to society in Mostar of Stari Most and all of those who died in the city and the consequent pain experienced by the community there. Young people were invited to actively participate in the project by placing a handprint on one side of a white star shape, which was then placed in the artwork. Children would ask if their star would be in the bridge in Mostar. It was. | |||||||||
