Story

The Metroid Prime story starts straight after "Metroid," the first game which was released in 1986 on the NES. Before the events of Metroid II, our hero Samus Aran learns that space pirate vessels were in orbit while she was fighting on the surface of Zebes. One of these ships is traced to the Planet Tallon IV, and it is here where Samus discovers a huge secret operation taking place. The Space Pirates are experimenting with a dangerous mutagen called "Phazon" in an effort to rebuild their army.
