Hello and welcome to 'Ultimate Marvel UK'! My name is Jonathan Sidebottom (find out more about me here) and I am a huge fan of the 'Marvel Ultimate Comic Book Series'. There are currently 3 editions to the 'Ultimate' series, these are: 'Ultimate Spider-Man', 'Ultimate X-Men' and 'Ultimate Marvel Team Up'. The three series re-cover all the old comic books from the 1960s onwards in the present day. The illustrations are of a much higher quality to the old issues and all the characters have new-looks so they don't look and seem so 'cheesy'! Unfortunately, here in the UK, comic books can be sometimes hard to find as the only official UK printings are 'Collector's Editions' (there are four different 'Collector's Editions', these are: 'The Avengers United', 'The Astonishing Spider-Man', 'Essential X-Men', and 'Wolverine & Gambit'). The 'Collector's Editions' are made up of four/three single comic books (which are not in issue order making them very hard to understand).
So if the UK comic fans can't get imported issues of the 'Ultimate Series' we look to Marvel.com for help! Marvel.com have a 'Comic Viewer' available to download (click here to get the 'Comic Viewer'), which hosts the 'Ultimate Series' (as well as others) which can be viewed for free! The 'Comic Viewer' is updated every week with new issues. So basically, after listening to me blabber on, what I'm trying to say is "UK, get reading the 'Ultimate Series' now 'cos you have no excuse!"
